I actually replayed it recently, it wasn't as bad as I remember from the first time.

It also felt a bit liberating to play as Connor after three games in a row as Ezio. I still completely understand why people dislike him, but I kind of enjoy his character now.

If anything, he's probably the most idealistic of all the assassins in the series that I've experienced (have played till Black Flag/Freedom's Cry.) I also enjoyed his honesty and his drive, it was a pity that everyone around him were fucking idiots.

Many people unironically play it because its a "Final Fantasy" game, others play it for lalas or catgirls. Keep on mind this game is supposed to appeal the braindead audience who enjoys eyecandy. Nothing else. If you put attention to many details in this game you can see you are not supposed to move/run while casting because there are no walking or running animations at all. Other fun-fact I found when I played a year ago, your CPU's clock could fuck up your cooldowns in this game,
