>Sudden urge to play Yakuza games
>Yakuza 4 and 5 were given as PS+ titles
>Yakuza 3 is unattainable digitally and too much of a hassle to find in online stores that ship worldwide (high taxes to import to my country)
>Yakuza 2 is still a PS2 title, no way to play it today without emulation or a fat PS3 and the physical copy
>Yakuza 0 full price
>Yakuza Kiwami still close to a month away
How fucked would I be if I played 4 and 5 on the PS3 as my first Yakuza games right now, then went back to Kiwami when it's released, then went to 0 after a sale or something?
My guess is that it wouldn't be too different from playing MGS series in release order in the West, which would be 1 > 2 > 3 > MG1 > MG2 SS > 4 > PW > V, going back in forward in time multiple times after 2, but I could be wrong.

4 is an acceptable starting point. not ideal, but acceptable. As someone who played the PS2 games first, I would wait for Kiwami. 0 is also a more acceptable starting point than 4.

Hack ur're are PS3
Will save you the hassle of finding a lot of games like that.
You should really just get 0 instead. It's a far better starting point than 4.
Holy fuck the exosuit redesigns look terrible
I thought they were supposed to look like sentai. The Japanese version got that right?

I can't believe you played long enough to get their levels that high.
what are some games where I can explore a place like this
Yakuza 0
Deus Ex MD kinda
>>386381713

Hong Kong in Deus Ex
New Kobe in Snatcher
I've never played that 90s Blade Runner PC adventure game but I assume it's set in the same LA as the movie.
Do you own a Switch?

Away with you, autismo.

I honestly have no idea. I think I blew up a corner by accident dicking around and then tried blowing up the second corner.
Because if you're not blind as a bat then you probably saw that it wasn't part of the same structure because the technology wasn't perfect back then.
ITT: Shitty games /v/ tricked you into thinking were good
>game is only bearable with mods, never a good sign
>gunplay is shit, guns are peashooters
>enemies are bullet sponges
>rarely any mutants throughout the game, only 1 bloodsucker, 2 controllers, 2 pseudogiants and a bunch of snorks and dogs if you count those as mutants
>every main quest is a fetch quest
>despite being open world, the game is linear as fuck
>traveling is slower than it needs to be due to bandits blocking the roads
>game is just a shitty mess in general
Glad I pirated this game.
La-Mulana
>fuckawful art
>almost requires a walkthrough to progress through

Learn to aim.
Never played a MGS game before, & I had V on my account so I decided to try it out. I have to say this shits pretty fun, why does /v/ not like it?
>>386381283
Trailers portraying the game wrong, lies, misuse of budget, empty open world, terrible fucking plot for a Metal Gear game, and overall one of the most disappointing games of all time
>never played a MGS game before
That's part of the problem.
The biggest issue for the fans of the series is that the game is literally, no joke, unfinished. It was rushed out pre-maturely, and that has resulted not only an entire chapter being cut out of the game, but many planned features and scenes being now missing or greatly altered.
The beginning is the best part of the game, as it was more or less finished, but towards the end you will have to deal with literal copypasted filler missions, stare at endless real-time timers on developed items, and even waste time playing around with shitty MP elements that are integrated to the SP as well.
MGSV was meant to END the series (once again; see MGS4), and also "close the cycle" between these prequel games and original MG-games. As it is now, however, it doesn't really do good job at anything.
And that's not all. The MGS series is known for its innovation and "TECHNOLOGY", for being some of the least "generic" games out on the market. But what does MGSV do? Plays like a generic open-world SHOOTER, with open maps full of nothing.
tl;dr: Why the fuck would anyone START this story-driven series with the LAST, most underwhelming game in the series?
>>386381283
we were lied to, they said it would be a metal gear game, instead it's a splinter cell in open world.
While the gameplay is the best in the series, the plot is only good for the shitty memes without any of the memorable characters and cheesy lines the series is known for.
Even as a non-metal gear plot, that shit is only memorable for Quiet's ass
Ignoring the quality of the games themselves.
What are your favourite breakdowns in the Ace Attorney Series?
Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2'S Last Breakdown is freaking great

Before long Shiny Pokemon will be considered new forms with this kind of laziness.

Do I get this on 3DS or PS2?
3DS version is censored and has worse orchestra, but it also has more content and mechanical improvements.
ps2 desu
>>386380083
If you have CFW, you can uncensor the 3DS version and restore orchestral music.
Graphics are MUCH worse on 3DS though and so is the draw distance.
The new content is ehhhh and irrelevant really, the gameplay adjustments are very nice though.
Still, the presentation being so butchered I recomment you go with PS2 for your first playthrough.
It wasn't complete shit but it wasn't good, either. What did /v/ think of Heavy Rain?

I enjoyed myself, meme song was funny, writing was pretty terrible in places, but the twist cuaght me off guard. too bad the writing wasnt as hilariously crap as fahrenheit

How can vidya even compete?
I don't have to interact with people to play vidya. Plus, I wouldn't even know where to find a group to play with. I doubt /tg/ accepts complete newfags.
You can be good at vidya. Tabletop is just roleplaying.
Online D&D honestly sounds like a fucking nightmare.
This is such a god damned good game.
yeah it's real decent. shame people don't know about it
