Before the cover based shooters
Before the modern combat multiplayer FPSs
Before the third person stealth-action games with crafting systems
Before all of these were pureed and made into Far Cry 3
There were the GTA clones. Anyone else get a sense of nostalgia for these? They seem like they were much more razer focused and filled with things to do than modern open world games. Is it because the crime sandbox genre is so fitting?
I'm thinking of going back and playing some of the ones I had when I was younger. Namely, the original Saint's Row, Scarface, and The Godfather. Anyone know which versions of these are the most complete and best running?

Why is the sprinting fucked? I'm playing on PS4 and it doesn't stop when it should. I slam L3 to sprint. Eventually I pull the stick back, making my character walk. The second I push the stick forward he sprints again, though. Holy fuck, game. I want to walk. This is a legit question; if I have to press L3 to start and stop sprinting, then fuck that. Game's great so tell me how to fix this shit.

ts more excusable in lol/dota because they're free, but the whole report system and bans existing in cs go for example because your internent hiccuped or someone got thin skinned from being owned/trashtalked is retarded.
The way online gaming has gone is just sad. Halo had teamkilling, and incentive to do so (power weapons) and still managed to have a much better community than cs go, which kicks you if you so much as bounce a grenade the wrong way.
