No, but if the holidays bring any kind of reasonable sale or bundle I'll pick one up. $300 is too steep but I could grudgingly shell out $250 for the system or $300 for the system bundled with a physical (preinstalled digital can suck my dick) copy of BotW or Mario Odyssey. If it stays overpriced/without bundle then it'll go ignored for probably another year and I'll just borrow my friend's WiiU+BotW for a while and put the money toward upgrading my PC instead.

No, but I've gone back to Splatoon 1 after 1 1/2 years. Apparently they raised the level cap to 50. I remember dropping it because it had a lot of annoying issues, some of which still exist in 2.

I bought one, had all my consoles stolen, and the Switch is the only one I cared enough to buy again.

God bless digital only, you give Nintendo a call and they remote deactivate your stolen console and you get to redownload the games on a new console. The only shame is that your saves are lost but beats having to buy all my physical 3DS and PS4 games again.

Based on my sense of what a dollar is worth. A launch price of $350 and I would have laughed it right out of any kind of consideration whatsoever, not unlike the Wii U before it. I bet you unironically defended the 3DS launching at $250 as well.

While I know your situation is different, one of the core reasons I do not take my switch anywhere outside the house is a lack of save backup. They REALLY need to either allow cloud saves or the ability to back up stuff.

I'm salty because for months before the release, every videogame publication was saying "this switch must be $200 or $250 for it to be successful" like they completely didn't understand the cost of making a home console into a portable system and the economics of the whole thing. $300 is an impressive price for that entire package (console, screen, battery, 2 controllers)
