Tzeentch > Nurgle > Slaanesh > Khorne
Prove me wrong.
Protip:You literally cannot.
>>52425299
Would prolly argue that Slaanesh is above Nurgle, simply because I don't enjoy looking at fat dudes.
Actually put Khorne ahead of Nurgle too, them hunk demons and bloodletter asses are too good to pass up.
>>52425299
Slaanesh > Nurgle > Khorne > Tzeentch.
Ya git.
>>52427005
Close, but it's actually Slaanesh > Khorne > Nurgle > Tzeentch

What is your favorite blaster rifle of the Star Wars universe? If it's the A-series, what's your favorite model?
>>52422480
Always loved the Endor A-280.
Though I really do like Cassian's modular 280 CFE.
>>52421649
I definitely hope this isnt a one off by Disney and that they would expand on creating more splinters to remind us the price of freedom especially since we are nowadays constantly exposed to fiction where the resistance is a choice between a douchebag and a shit sandwich. See games like Farcry 4 where you work for two equally despicable rebels or the Hunger Games where Alma Coin is proven to be as despicable as the dictator who had been oppressing the population for years.
Just because the rebels win in the end doesnt mean we cant show the rougher years of struggle
>>52422969
I expect we'll see some of it in the background of the Han Solo film, considering in the old eu he was dating a Rebel ( who ended up being the one to die broadcasting the DS1 plans to the Tantive, if I remember rightly).
That said, if it includes his time in the Imperial Academy, we might end up seeing the Rebellion from the Empires propaganda machine and shit so that might be interesting.
Man I REALLY want a Cassian Andor spinoff novel though.
I want to see the shady shit he had to do before Rogue One. Comic or novel would be great, i dont mind.
JUST
That's fake, right.

They don't even make me angry. Just depressed. Their existence is an embarrassment.
How would a non-anthropomorphic avian race work? Could they grow farms? Would they need infrastructure? How would they build and craft?

>Could they grow farms? Would they need infrastructure? How would they build and craft?
Just YouTube some videos on corvids, my man.
>>52414664
I mean, they use sticks and stuff, but I don't see using their beak for tools is sustainable on a civilization level
What the most rock-bottom, piss poor decisions you have ever witnessed at the table?
Hard Mode: It's a strictly in-game decisionNightmare Mode: The game died because of it.

There's a really long greentext to this but I don't want to type it up if the thread only gets like 4 people.

Mythic Fantasy.

much the same as regular fantasy. But no one has any iron.
I always thought it was weird that DnD and the typical fantasy games are based on feudal europe rather than the bronze and iron ages..it's also weird that almost every fantasy setting is polytheistic thought he medieval europeans were christians.
When I think of 'adventurer' Odysseus and Perseus come to mind, no medieval figure. Also plate armor is just anti-adventure. Can't jump a chasm or climb a robe when you're dressed like that. Cyclops, colussus, hydra, minotaur...medieval europe just has the dragon? And there's more seafaring adventures than in medieval settings, that's for sure.
There's lots of good quest ideas, but one thing i think is true is that your ideas don't need to be as good/clever in such a setting. You can literally just have 'achilles is badass and kills a bunch of people' and 'you have to defeat this minotaur/cyclops/medusa/whatever that's terrorizing our people. Literally you just have these creatures living in a cave or a dungeon or a labyrinth or whatever it is.
And dont' forget the middle eastern stuff from the same time period.
When your story takes place in a place with all these independent city states plus 1 or 2 powerful empires...adventurous quests feel 'normal' to me somehow.
Feudalism feels too constricting
In the far distant future, humanity is scattered across the entirety of the milky way. While several large states compete for control over significant portions of the Milky Way (Most Notably the Orion Confederation vs the Galactic Periphery League), humanity is not centralized.
Though many parts of the galaxy have been explored, few sentient alien species have been discovered, and of those discovered, fewer can easily communicate with humans. With humans scattered across a variety of planetary environments, and with cultures evolving and changing based on stellar location, the most alien thing many humans encounter are their fellow humans.
Technology varies wildly among human territories. Some have regressed to medieval levels, while others have advanced to levels once only written about in science fiction. Most sufficiently advanced societies use a similar method of FTL, known simply as a jump drive. These engines allow access to the natural FTL slipstreams between stars. This leads to routes being formed, like the old highways on Earth.
>>52436372
Bit too pigeon holed with this but ill bump and see if anybody else will have a crack at it
>>52436437
>ftl slipstreams
Star lanes are the death of strategy, and a lazy excuse to not build an actual computer ai in x4 games
>>52436437
Thank you. I wanted it to be human focused, with room for aliens if people wanted to write them. Also many human societies use different methods of FTL, just the most common version is accessing the stellar highways.
I have a severe lack of good battle maps for modern or apocalypse/zombie/whatever RPGs.

>be me
>play GMs weird, semi-freeform magic system game about travelling between universes
>GM says I can have 'whatever magic I want'
>decide to test it
>make my magic 'being invincible', expecting it to get vetoed
>mfw GM okays it
>make lawful good paladin-kind of fighter and leader
>GM's girlfriend, not super into RPGs but can actually get into it, but lacks creativity
>makes hotheaded, red-haired pyromancer chick that likes setting things on fire
>Well, we all got to start somewhere, right?
>Autist McAutistface makes a mind reader/psion with no combat skills
>can't even use a weapon or throw a punch
>is IC and OOC a total know-it-all
>LOL I have OOC info because I can read minds
>Neckbeard decides to make an elf chick
>"But she's not sterotypical, guys. She's not a better than thou tolkin elf."
>Instead, she's an autist that can't deal with other people and loves plants
>Whatever, at least he gave her a sword and she can pull some neat mana-manipulation tricks in the freeform system we're using
>I think he's hitting on GM's gf IC
>Last character is Miss 'Obviously evil and going to backstab us all' that's also a Necromancer
>Smug and had a relationship with McAutistface's char, not sure if homo
>Voice objections to her presence IC, but get overruled, don't want to be an ass about it.
>>52433510
Last few sessions, we exploited an infinite mana hack to blast some kind of Cthulu-style monster, followed by a breather on fleshing out pyromancer's backstory. Then, we finally tracked down the obvious big bad of the campaign. The furry GMPC tried to send us on some kind of stupid sidequest, but we ignored him. We killed pseudo-cthulu, we can deal with some stupid flying lizard.
>Arrive in freaking sandstorm
>Huge coincidence, but fine
>Pyromancer makes us a hut out of molten glass, actually pretty neat. Gave GM's gf a thumbs-up for the idea.
>GM rolls on random encounter table
>suddenly fucking zombies everywhere
>GM looks smug
>Autist McAutistface suddenly hides, being fucking useless in combat as usual
>Necromancer seizes control of them, makes fight trivial
>Necro's player has huge smug grin, GM retreats behind his screen, quickly googles something on his laptop
>Comes back up grinning, asks for perception checks
>Suddenly, three fucking sandworms at once
>really, sandworms? I know we're in a desert but you really couldn't think of something more original?
>Necromancer crit-fails roll, gets swallowed whole
>Fight against time as she runs out of HP
>Almost get her out
>Player decides he can't risk it and pops his super-secret overpowered artifact of doom.
(Oh yeah, did I mention that artifact? She got it at chargen and it makes her a looot more powerful, but has the downside that it's somehow cursed. In practise, it means the rest of us has to babysit her unconscious body after she steals the show. Suuuper balanced, right?
>She pops out of the stomach of the sandworm and falls unconscious
>Fight basically won
>GM starts sweating
>"Uhhh...the dead sandworms come back alive."
>mfw half our party is down already and now we have to face three more of the fuckers
>Suddenly, 'divine' intervention, NPC casually slays all the enemies
>GM narrates how my character is in total awe of this 'God'
>Session ends.
Thoughts on my game, /tg/?
>>52433519
Your GM is probably ripping some story off
>>52433613
But what story could that be?
How would you guys design a fast-paced combat system for an rpg? Let's say a homebrewed rpg of Bloodborne, where your armor is only modified common clothes for light movement, you roll to the sides and backstep in order to avoid getting hit by beasts, you can parry certain enemies.
>>52433004
Some guy is working on a tick-based system that makes fights more "real time" so you have to time your dodges and such.
I find that these sort of games are a bit clunkier than "simple" turn based systems.
Systems with simultaneous turns in general rely a lot more on player skill; which may be a good thing but it also sorta takes you out of the experience a bit when your skills of prediction doesn't match that of your character (or the DM happens to play random mob member as wily as a master swordsman).
But they are real fun to play VS.
>>52433196
Any links, my friend?
>>52433004
It's called playing with action figures and bashing them into each other repeatedly.
What's a good method to lay the groundwork for a successful campaign?
Drugs, in proper dosage they can help you lay pretty much anything.
>>52432924
find people who aren't neurotic or autistic. don't be scared to copy established shit for inspiration, since those things have good groundwork.
