>Any anons here made lore before for their campaigns/own games?
All the time.
>What do you consider good lore?
Hard to codify, I'd describe good lore like porn, you'll know it when you see it.
>>52425504
I write lore for my campaign's world all the time. I really enjoy doing a lot of worldbuilding so i try to do it whenever i can. However you really only need to write enough to have a general idea about what to say if your players ask you about it.
>a vast tomb filled the ancient's statues of the past.
Maybe write down a couple names and say some descriptive mildly descrptive text about it.
I also find that good or bad lore is mostly only as good as you present it. In terms of a more objective point of view, don't do alot of cliché's. If you have/want to, don't go nuts with it. Also making sure the lore isn't always just neat tidbits, and is actually relevent to the campaign helps. Makes the players actually interested in it.
>>52425504
I usually write a bit of base lore for the place the first couple of sessions are going to take place in, and then expand upon the lore between sessions based on the stuff i made up during the game.
Good lore is lore that I care about, whatever form it may take. Your lore can be shallow and simple, but if you can get me interested in it, it's an enjoyable experience.
So, I'm planning on running a sci-fi game where politics are important. The players will have to figure out what is and is not permissible depending on which faction is in control of a particular star system, if any.
Problem is, I have no ideas on how to make the minutiae interesting beyond "don't piss off X faction by doing Y" and "oh here's all these mundane rules you need to follow to the letter." This is in FATE, so Aspects are a tool I can use here, but I'm not sure how to use them effectively.
Ideas, fa/tg/uys? How would you make mundane bureaucracy in space actually interesting as an obstacle or tool?

And the original House of Cards. Maybe the new one too, afterwards.

After that, build factions. Take a blank sheet of paper. Name 5 factions.
Draw arrows connecting them. What faction needs the others? What faction is weak? Strong? Insane? What do they require? When do they collaborate?
Or just nick a plot from, say, the last days of the pre-revolution French monarchy and their parliaments. That's always a goldmine. Or vatican intrigues.
Actually, maybe add The Young Pope to your watchlist.
i want to introduce kek to my golarion.

>met several people who all said they wanted to play but could never find groups.
Why is All Flesh so 'obscure'? It's a genuinely good and fun system, and when it's discussed here it's almost always favorably, but barely anyone seems to play it. Why hasn't it gained any traction in the zombie-obsessed culture we're in?
I think zombie culture has died down for the most part. It's no where what it used to be in 2009-2012, and I feel thats part of the problem.
While it may be a good system, I know Post-Apacolyptic is a fantasy setting people tend to not like because of its various limitations and over all atmosphere of everything sucks.
It also has the Walking Dead label, so people might see that as "OH, AMC is trying to milk the Walking dead for all its worth, lets shit out an RPG." So people may not actually like it based on that assumption.
I've never played the game nor have I ever played a zombie setting, but I have played post apacolypse settings that caused our more casual players to not have as much fun.
I found it too eager to say "do it however, GM" for my taste. I remember giving myself a migraine trying to figure out how hit location rules worked and finally gave up and made my own, which I'm pretty sure is what they expected me to do.
I did like some of the lore in the supplements. Croatoan was a neat setting.
>>52424754
It is fairly open, but I honestly prefer that to something a lot more strictly ordered when it comes to a post-apocalypse setting. It has the right amount of depth and the right amount of streamlining. It's not some kind of GURPS system where you're expected to more or less build the system yourself, but it also is relaxed with a lot of things, letting you make the game as you go. The combat is also almost always exciting, quick, and lethal.
No WIP thread on /tg/?!? Emperor's Teeth! That's HERESY!!!

Ogre with 2 heads. Make one an NPC and the other the character. Unless the player can play both sides. But just 1 set of stats/ Levels

Literally the best AA gun in the game. Only 30 ppm and up to 5 per unit.
Hey I'm trying to go to Anime Blues Con as a Skitarii ranger, and I'm not sure what lore specifics I need to be aware of when trying to make this thing. I actually am rather new to the whole 40k game and I have fallen in love with the Skitarii
Also as material tips and tricks will help out as well
The Skitarii codex goes into great detail about how each Forge World's Skitarii has their own color scheme. If you don't have it already I suggest you at least borrow it and take a look at that section.
For general cosplay tips, I strongly recommend you put a microphone into your mask and hook it to a voice amplifier. Having to remove the mask every couple of minutes to talk gets annoying quick. For my Tech-Priest cosplay I also hooked a hydration tube into the mask so I don't have to take it off to drink water. It was hooked into a canteen that I kept in a canvas backpack.

I'm also hoping to do a Skitarii cosplay.
However, I literally have no idea how to make a cosplay.
Canna anon get some full advice?
(and maybe instructions if that's ok)

Did the Blood Angels ever fight the Thousand Sons in any major battle before Terra? A "who rocks red marines better" engagement.
Might convert a forge lord in cataphractii terminator armor + conversion beamer mostly for the look. However, has anyone found them useful in game? Normally run SoH with pods and melee though

You know, seeing this makes me wonder how Abaddon can actually use the Talon of Horus. The thing must be nearly as large as he is, given that it was built for a Primarch, and is pretty huge even then.
