What are some examples of physics clearly behaving like magic. Such as quantum teleportation or superfluids?

In Trading, we call it the "Dead Cat Bounce":
>a temporary recovery in share prices after a substantial fall, caused by speculators buying in order to cover their positions.

Global warming is on a century long dead cat bounce. If this trend breaks, we could very well see a mini-ice age from the 2050s as the Sun's Solar Cycle approaches a minimum.

Oh look, I wonder what ha penned in the 1940s?

>Professor averages out your grades but gives you the grade he "thinks" you deserve
>Professor curves the grade moving every ones grade up by a letter grade
What other bullshit have you encountered that managed to give you an A when you know you shouldn't have gotten one? I had both above happen to me recently.

Well the opposite happened to me last year when my school gave my class two letters lower than they were suppose to be giving. I got a B in mathematics while scoring A+ on 11/12 tests. I got a B in English while already studying a year ahead in further education. The grades only happened due to confusion in rating and they were irreversible. I was denied into a good school and felt humiliated.
>>
>>8952149

Where do you live that a "good school" would reject you based on grades instead of some standardised test?

Do any of you know about this book? It's a really fucking great book for undergraduates, but I don't know anyone who managed to find this shit online.
So sort of a /r/equest, but does anyone know about the legendary pdf of this book?

Yes. www.khanacademy.org is a meme.

Created by the Pajeet Poo-in-Loo Salman Khan

Although this pajeet has MIT BSc in ECE & Math, MIT MSc in ECE & Harvard MBA.

Meme learning website.

Too watered down.

But his Calculus Classes still better than Brainlet Tier Calculus Books like Stewart.

Is your body fucking ready? Between Trump's deregulation of offshore drilling and his push for domestic-sourced tech materials, the market will boom over the next two decades. First it was petroleum oil, then methane gas, now rare earth minerals used in phones.

I would much prefer space mining

why fuck up the oceans when it would be more profitable and easier to mine somewhere else
>>
>>8950336
This really isn't profitable except a few areas spread around the world where equipment is complex and diving is near impossible.>>8950353
>>8950353
Space mining needs an infrastructure, reliable control, and be able to tell composite of the object.

Mining space objects would cost more than it would take to mine at this point and time.

fr though engineers should be kept n an enclosed facility controlled by earth systems scientists, were they can still be rented out to capitalists. except with consequential ethics.
why do they teach them to build such monstrosities but not how to understand the consequences of their actions. Poor kids, engineers are little more than worker bees

Not sure where the quote's from, but I assume it's talking about how tons of science is just theoretical stuff that builds on theoretical stuff, building layers upon layers until at least half of it is proven wrong by actual experiments. Without the experiments you just get bullshit on top of bullshit, gradually getting further away from practical reality.

I had a brain MRI.
T1, T2, FLAIR and diffusion-weighted imaging according to their report.

They say everything is OK.
What kind of shit could these sequences miss?

Is old, long-term and low-grade hypoxic damage even visible with these scans?
And what about damage from impact? I had probably both, and I still feel like shit.

>>

Yeah I'm not that guy. Also pic is no mine, just stock.

I have other problems (recurring low grade fever, swollen lymph nodes, bad teeth I only recently got to fill, recurring pharyngitis etc) that could be responsible for my brain fog, which is extreme at times and I feel like a fucking vegetable.

I just want to rule out physical brain injuries and move onto the more complex diagnostics about various infections. I might have had the mastoid infected at some point, I had no real insurance and nobody to support me, I was sick for many weeks. I don't know what the fuck to do anymore, I'm worrying all this damage is irreversible.

Someone asked me if I knew how many milk shake flavor combinations there are if you can get 5 flavors out of 42. I don't know anything about math but I guessed it was a combination problem and did 42 choose 5.

He then told me some other guy said it would be 42x41x40x39x38. I don't really give a shit who's right I just need to know, am I the autistic one?

What's a good set for chemistry? I'm studying and want to do some labwork in my own time and an opportunity to get cheap glassware came up but I have no idea what I should definitely get. There are some obvious things but what is something not obvious that I will regret not getting?
I have limited experience in the lab because of the public school system but I desperately need to start doing stuff right now. I mostly just need to work on my skills and abilities to do basic reactions because my theory is solid but I have done literally none of it IRL

Thanks! I don't know about the quality of the products, they will likely be secondhand old soviet, but isn't borosilicate the standard?
>>
>>8951521
Also you will need additional stuff like buret clamp, aspirator, ring stand, bunsen burner, gas, gas hose, sieve, test tube racks, test tube holders, lighter/matches, hand centrifuge, wash bottles and waste containers, among many others.

Oh and appropriate personal protective equipment and proper cleaning materials and equipment for chemical accidents.
