WHAT IS THAT
What is the purpose of the Paris Deal if there is no punishment for countries that fail to meet the emissions targets? What scientific grounds is there to believe this will prevent climate change?
What does developed countries giving 100 billion annually to a fund that gets distributed to "developing" countries like china, india and north korea with no accountability have to do with stopping climate change?
Why is everyone acting like the paris deal is the magical solution to fix the climate, and questioning the logistics of this deal make you a climate denier?
>b-but PCA has the word "Climate" in it so it must be good!!11!
The purpose is obviously not to take away your money under the guise of doing something that sounds useful and important.
>>8951379
Yes, but these "developing countries" are accepting funds while doing hardly anything to combat their emissions (china), not to mention that in some cases these countries are to some respect richer than those who are distributing the funds
Lost a bet over the winter, getting a science-related ass tattoo this weekend while I'm on vacation.

Soooo wherever gravity changes there is a photon?
>>8953137
Photon is spin 1, a graviton is necessarily spin 2.
Annihilation event produces =>2 photons. Spin is conserved.
What fractal is this?
It's generated from the [math]f_c(Z) = Z^2-i[/math] rule
And what the fuck is this?
The [math]-\mathrm i[/math]-set of Julia.
>>8952682
I remember trying to generate that one with my simple Julia set program but it only found like 4 points in the set. I think one needs a more sophisticated algorithm for plotting that set than just "looping through points". Anyone got any ideas?
What music do you listen to when u study?

Death Grips in one ear, NMH in other, Dyson vacuum in the background.

Gödel was a weirdo and Cauchy was a motherfucker. That's what I know.

What did Oppenheimer mean by this?
>>8952369
>The sentence, enigmatic and incomprehensible at the time, was actually an allusion to ancient Hindu texts that describe an apocalyptic catastrophe that doesn’t correlate with volcanic eruptions or other known phenomena. Oppenheimer, who avidly studied ancient Sanskrit, was undoubtedly referring to a passage in “The Bhagavad Gita” that describes a global disaster caused by “an unknown weapon, a ray of iron.”

So if warm air rises upwards, how does "science" explain that it's always the mountaintops that are snowy? Checkmate if you ask me.
>>8952066
warm air doesn't rise, it moves towards the most entropic/cold state. In this case the warm air moves towards the mountaintop because it is cold. Space is even colder, so that's ultimately the way the warm wants to go.

How long would it take to have an intermediate understanding of computer stuff, physics, and math?
By intermediate I mean at least a bachelor in these things. Certainly there is at least a little overlap?
well a bachelor is 4 years, so 4*3=12 years for all 3 of computers, physics and math
you should learn basic multiplication before dealing with computers and physics though
>>8950932
I earned a BS in Chem and Math, and enough credits for a BA in Physics in four years. If you don't care to be a well-rounded complete individual, you can just do the science/math stuff in two or three I bet.
You can learn it in a few weeks unless you're a brainlet.
What does /sci/ make of this?

They are interconnected in many more ways than your image suggests.
