without engineers science is just philosophy

Without OP, faggots are just gay

Not sure where the quote's from, but I assume it's talking about how tons of science is just theoretical stuff that builds on theoretical stuff, building layers upon layers until at least half of it is proven wrong by actual experiments. Without the experiments you just get bullshit on top of bullshit, gradually getting further away from practical reality.
without hoes pimpin aint easy
>>8953957
>science is all theoretical and doesn't do experiments
which high school failed you this badly?
>>8953952
>just
>>8953958
This sums it up pretty good actually.
>>8953958
hehe
>>8953969
Have you even read the OP? This is the theoretical of versions without engineers, i.e. one in which no experiments can be done.
>>8953994
But scientists do plenty of experiments, where do you think scientific data comes from?
Did you never even take a high school chem or physics class?
>>8953952
Science is data mining. Nothing else. Philosophy interprets the data. Engineering takes that data and makes something with it.
>>8953952
Scientists were the engineers that built their experiments for centuries. Only relatively recently did some experiments become do complex that seperate individuals are required to specialize in the construction of experiments.
>>8953957
Experimental science is for plebs.
>>8953996
What tools do they use to do modern experiments? You can't confirm the existence of the Higgs boson with an Erlenmeyer flask. But they've been theorizing about it for tens of years, and would continue to theorize about it for far longer even if unproven; engineers built the LHC and allowed the scientists to actually check their theories against practical reality.
Without stuff like that, people would be taking string theory seriously.

>all modern science experiments are too expensive for scientists to do, so engineers do them
