I've been looking for a car and listed in the description of most cars is something along the lines of "05 Plate". I have no idea what this means and if anyone can tell me it would be appreciated as it would allow me to better gauge the car that I may buy.

"05 Plate" car was registered between March to September 2005

Does anyone else here go to Katie's Cars and Coffee from 6-9 AM in Great Falls, Virginia? Lots of really cool cars and might be a cool place to do a small meet.
Could he save Mitsubishi?
Jackie chan is mitsubishi

Does he even promote them anymore? The last one with the Jackie name was the Evo IX and that was ages ago.
Worth it

What do you guys think of the current gen mazda 6's?
Worth checking out and looking into? Was leaning more towards the wagon version
>>17374518
I love mine, but I'm extremely biased.
As far as the cars go...stock, there isn't a lot of power. It has enough to daily around of course, but you'll always want more. The interior doesn't make a ton of noise in my experience, though it does creak and groan if you lean on it. The leatherette is garbage - get cloth or real leather if you can. Visibility is great, the tech is great. Some people have problems with the SCBS. Plenty of trunk space. Underhood easily serviceable. And if you're into it, massive aftermarket available and lots of help to be found on the forums.

Wagons only come in auto.
Other then that, they seem like nice cars.
Is this the Toyota Corolla of our generation?
Toyota Corolla
Is the Fit/Jazz this generations civic?
Why dont they make a type r version of this thing
Hello guys, my car is leaking when it rains, under the front right seat.
Also in the trunk..
How can I fix it?
>>17374478
get rid of the ceiling mounted interior and see if there's any broken seals or something.
>>17374478
Jack up the car and pray the bottom isn't rusted to shits and you're half way towards a Flinstone's car.
If this is the case, it's a one way trip to the scrapper.

Get better snow pants idiot
Discuss the Ford Panther Platform here:
Grand Marquis
Crown Vic
Town Car
Marauder (as if any of you poorfags own one)
My question to start off is what tires are best suited to this car? I have Michellin Defenders which are OK. They last a long time, but completely suck in the winter, so much that I had to buy snow tires, which transformed the car. When I go to buy new tires, what should I get?
On the plus side, the Michellin Defendes probably have 50% tread life left at least and I've got 40,000 miles on them. Running them as summer tires, I probably will never have to buy more. It is a 1999 Crown Vic in Michigan; it's not going to last forever. Does have very little rust though.
Also wondering what makes the suspension so robust ( hear so many panther owners brag about it)
Pic related is of the Defender tires referenced in the OP. They are about $100 a piece for my car. That puts them about in the middle of the tire spectrum. They are a step above the Michelin Symmetry tires that came on many Panthers from the factory, but below something nice or sporty like Michelin Pilots.
>Marauder (as if any of you poorfags own one)
I think there's one anon who has a red one, or maybe it was grey, I dunno.
>implying I want to fuck with the 4v's shit instead of being happy with the slow 2v outliving the known universe
>>17374587
I thought Marauders only came in black.
In painful celebration of my first speeding ticket I'd like to know. Whats the fastest you've been pulled over for anon? How far over the limit were you? How much did you pay? And most interesting for me right now would be how did it affect your insurance rates?
Stories about first tickets/tickets in general are all welcome.
>>17374130
>Was going at least 113mph
>Saw cop, slowed to the limit 65mph
>His radar caught me at 98mph
>After being respectful and not giving him a hassle, and talking with him about Phil Collins (In the Air Tonight was playing on my stereo when he pulled me over) he wrote me the ticket for going 85mph
Cost me $420 plus another $70 in traffic school fees.
I never speed more than 5mph now unless it's on the touge.
>>17374130
>>17374163
Shit, forgot to say, the traffic school option prevents the ticket from going on your record and affecting your insurance rates, but I believe if you get another ticket within 18 months, your insurance gets notified of both and you get assraped.
What happened to the Vin check thread?
Can someone look this up for me
