Looking for a first time car for commuting to work for max £2k.
I will be doing about 40km each day, 99% of which will be on a motorway with 70mph speed limit.
What engine type/size/HP should I be looking for to achieve best fuel economy?
Europe here so most likely will be a stick. I know shit about cars.
pic related will be testing Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 i 16v tomorrow.
Just get a suburban.

I'm interested in this 95 mustang for sale. Does this look like a good reliable car to get for fun? I have a Hyundai currently and want something more exciting and powerful to drive. But also reliable. Does this seem good? What are some things I should ask/look out for? Doesn't need inspection by the way for 95 and older.

Hello /o/ ausfag here. I fell for the Australian car meme and bought a 2012 falcon about 2 years ago. Car is about to hit 100K KMS and the interior feels like its starting to fall apart. Constant squeaks rattles, drivers seat creaks like mad (caused by surface rust in the seat rail lel). Oh and the glovebox is warped lol. Basically the piece of shit is starting to fall apart. I had an e46 with triple the mileage that did not exhibit any of this shit. Currently looking at a euro diesel coupe like an 2012 a5 or 2012 330d. What would you guys recommend?
>>17385835
2012 a5 and 3er both suffer from these problems
>bought a Falcon
Should've bought a Commodore :^)
>tfw a very quiet but constant rattling from the door airvent is making me want to kill myself

The VW will break horribly once the factory warranty period is over.
What's going to be the next meme car?
>E30
>mx5
>MR2
>$3k civic
What's unironically going to be next meme once decent condition versions of the above will dwindle.

After 19 years and 350 000km my starcraft has served me well, but it is time for change.
/o/ recommend me new van.
Vw transporter doesn't come anywhere close to starcrafts comfort, not looking for downgrade.
And pickups aren't option either, I need vans rear space.
Would it be a bad idea to DD a 1997 Saab 9000 Turbo as a poorfag? I love Saabs for their styling but don't know jack about their reliability. It's got 150,000 miles on it.
I'm not sure about the 9000, but my 900 turbo has 300k miles and is still going strong. Normal maintenance is enough to keep these things running for a long time, but certain parts that can and will break can be expensive. I recommend finding someone who is knowledgeable or join a club of some sort, it really helps.
You can do it, but these cars are past their prime, anon.
>>17385871
Sure, but so is any other given 90s shitbox right?
>>17385849
Yeah, I know Saab has a great reputation but the European origin has me wary since I was once the owner of a money pit BMW.
Why do wrxs attract douche bag drivers no matter what country they are sold in?
>>17385624
Is that a dodge challenger surroudned by filipino love live cosplayers? Why?
>>17385655
Because it was at an anime convention to promote transformers in a country where American cars are uncommon and girls seem to love camaros no matter what race they are..
>>17385624
Because it makes them feel like they are the greatest drivers ever, even though the beauty of tha awd system does all the work for them. Therefore feeding their confidence to asshat levels
Should I ditch my MK3 Supra for an S13?
This car is comfy, goes fast in a straight line and it looks nice but it's not the best drivers car, the steering lacks feel and it feels like the gearchange is from a tractor while the 7M is lazy. An excellent grand tourer.
Should I sell this car for £4000 and get something else? Give me recommendations.

If you want a floppy s chassis with a shitty truck engine you'd want to swap out immediately sure.
>>17385619
I'm not in america so I don't get truck engine, all the cars in this country are SR20 or CA18.
I can get pretty much any japanese sports car I want here.
>>17385608
I've owned an s15 and a mk4 supra, which obviously aren't the same car as a mk3 and s13 but should give you a general idea of the differences. The supra feels a lot more solid than the s15 did, it definitely is the better car in most aspects. They were double the price of an s chassis brand new so this is understandable. Where the supra falls down for me is that you can definitely feel the weight of it. This is where the s chassis is better. It feels light and it has much nicer steering feel. I wouldn't say it was faster, just more enjoyable as the supra makes me feel like im driving a boat. Long story short supras are excellent grand tourers as you said and the s chassis has nicer driving feel in the bends but less refined. As for recommendations, it all depends on what type of driving you like.

Why did Nissan shift their focus of the GT-R into a supercar?
Sure, they were expensive, but you didn't pay a load of money plus a limb.
Our only "affordable" alternative right now is the 370z, which is more of a GT than a sports car.
