Why aren't the internals of an engine completely submerged/filled with oil? You'd still have a pump for circulation to keep the oil moving

what happens if you fill a engine completely to the top?
>>
My car really likes to turn with ruts in the road or just turn with the bumps and valleys of the road in general to the point of it being a huge nuisance. It's more obvious when on the breaks (since the front tires get loaded more) and can be pretty bad on shitty roads like i-5 since they never smooth out the road and always leave pinches/ruts in it. But my tire wear for all 4 tires is spectacularly even. Should I go get my front end re-aligned or just not touch what could possibly be the best alignment for even tire wear ever.

Can someone help figure this out?

tl,dr
>redid timing belt out of car
>engine misfires and rough idle
>redo timing belt engine in car
>idles fine at first
>engine misfires and runs poorly immediately after revving it a bit joyously while driving

I think I may have just pulled timing, but can that happen on a brand new belt? Do things have to wear in together first before you can rev up quickly?

>redo timing belt using more secure way

>engine runs noticeably smother idling, revving to reverse, etc
>pull out of road, also revved it maybe a bit too harsh for recent surgery
>engine hesitates to go up rev range
>soon engine is running poorly, has to stay at 4-kish to have torque

Could valves be out of place?
>>
3 options:

first and most likely, something on the timing belt is out of place, culprits include cams, crank, or tension pulley.

second is bent valves, while less common on single cam motors, still can be an issue. especially likely since you did head work.

third option is that something is up with the head gasket work that was done. this could be quite possibly hundreds of things.

start troubleshooting at the top, check cams. check crank and check all your pulleys.

personally, i really think its valves, hopefully not though.

are you throwing any codes? if so what are they?

I like that it's the most "race car" supercar since the Ferrari F40. No interior trim, no sound insulation, fixed seats, pulleys as door handles and pedal adjustments, no gimmicks, hydraulic steering, minimal luxuries. I'm glad they didn't just make 488 GTB and sell it for more because muh heritage. I think the hydraulic suspension and wing is pretty fucking cool too, and love how it looks.

No,
Could've been a hyper car slayer, won't be.
Could've had a good engine platform, doesn't.
Could've been something completely unique regarding its styling like the GT90 instead of "GT40" ran through a current-year filter.
Price and pretentiousness of a European exotic without the engine of one.

Lastly you have to suck Ford's dick and prove you're "worthy" to even get one which ironically Ford became the pretentious Italian exotic maker (Ferrari) they originally set out to beat. Its like your father was a Noble Jedi and you became a Sith Lord whilst trying to say you are the successor to your father.

So much for that disappointment. at least their's still the new NSX which has yet to flex its true muscles (Type R) and that MR GM is working on.

they had a good reason for that, they wanted people to buy them and keep them, not buy it and flip it which people like to do with special edition/limited edition cars

Hey big guys, so I recently bought a car and afterwards I found out that the the front electric plug/lighter doesn't work. My plan was to buy an aux/usb adapter and play music off my phone through it (pic related). So I was disappointed BUT I realized a bit after that I have another plug in the back of the console, accessible to the rear passengers that actually works. So my question is, will such an aux/usb adapter still function despite it being in the rear of the car? As in, is the audio still connected to that plug as well? Will I be able to buy this adapter and listen to music through an aux cord via the rear plug in? Thanks in advance, big guys.

I always wondered about brakes and braking distance - a lot of accidents are caused because brakes take a while to stop the car, right? Like 150 feet or something before a car going 60mph comes to a stop.

Why hasn't anyone made a brake that immediately stops the car? Like, no matter how fast the car is moving, as soon as you hit the brake the car completely stops moving immediately? I feel as though if anyone invented this a lot of accidents could be avoided.

Most brakes can bring the wheels to a complete stop instantly if you push your foot all the way down. The problem is the tire then skids across the pavement because the momentum of the vehicle overcomes the friction between tire and road. Have you never seen skidmarks in a movie or safe driving PSA? Are you actually retarded?
>>
>>17646120
lmao this started off so nice and constructive
>>
>>17646120
ive seen skid marks, but are you saying there's no way to just sort of cancel or delete the momentum of the car
