Buy a Galant VR-4?
or
Buy an old impreza 1997 (non WRX) and swapped out the engine with RB25DET?
oh btw, the one impreza i want to buy is 1.6 AWD and i will get RB25DET in cheap and good condition, already checked
>>17641652
Galant VR-4 would be less hassle.
Have fun with impreza's clutch and transmission.
I want a car thats *fun* for my first... but I'm worried Ill need more than 2 seats
>19
>bassist in a band
>uni
>cityfag, needs to commute there
>currently drive my mom's ford territory
is this the right car for me? what else should I get?
>>17641633
2nd gen Ford Probe. Even the i4s are fun. And they have 4 seats. Plus, massive trunk. Me and my brother are both bassists, and we can haul all 3 of our basses and 5 people in the car. Not the most comfortable, but you get used to it.
I don't know nigga, it's fun af to drive but you're asking us if this is right for you and we have no idea about your life.
So we'll use my life and experiences. I owned an MR2 AW11 in highschool and that thing was fun af, especially when it rained. However, unless your a faggot with no friends 2 seats will not be enough. If you ever want to hang out you need two cars for your group because you're the fag with only 2 seats and not even a trunk for a third small person.
The AW11 is a bitch to work on just because it's so fucking small, it's like a fucking toy I'm not kidding. Parts aren't that easy to find at a junk yard and it's an old fucking car so price of upkeep is up there. There's a reason these are called money pits. Read the sticky fag.

E36 318ti.
Super fun suspension design, comfy, reliable once the cooling system is refreshed, hatchback will almost fit 2 sets of wheels with the seats down
It's like a comfy E30
Are electric cars actually the best alternative to fuel when it comes to saving the environment?
What do you think?
No one cares about environment.
People want electric because its super cheap compared to gas. Especially in yurop. Isnt it even free with superchargers in us?
I could also use it to steal charge on my neighbours electricity. Thats kinda cool.
>best alternative to fuel when saving the environment
realistically they're the only alternative to fuel, so yes that does make them the best.

What would be the motorcycle equivalent for a modified datsun 510?
>Japanese
>Modified
>1970's
>Handles well (for it's time)
>What's the equivalent to an old shitter on 4 wheels
A shitter on 2 wheels, I'd assume.
More seriously, pretty much any sub-300cc Japanese sports.
Honda Super Cub
>>17641621
Nah, because a super cub has no performance related background.
Can burgers please just standardize these across the board or repeal them altogether. What purpose do they even serve?

How else are police supposed to catch you not wearing your seat belt criminal?
Anyone know how to hang your P plates outside like this? I see tons of people hang there p plates like this at JDM meetups.
>>17641490
weow the level of bait here is next-gen
>>17641490
Im pretty sure skylines arent p-plate legal so that means the cars not even his
>>17641574
You must live in a rural town.
What's better
a FWD car with a manual transmission
or
a RWD car with an automatic
manual fwd
Imo FWD. more control and scandinavian flicks.
Manual FWD
When did /o/ go from Miatas to MR2s?
Every board goes through phases. Once a phase hits maximum saturation, they slowly splinter off into more niche corners to stroke their egos.
Or, more obviously, because they want to spend more money in parts/petrol to achieve less of a result in a car more prone to loss of traction.

why do they wear the mirrors on the hood?
Width restrictions.

if you take them off, would the car die?
Should I get a Ford Edge Sport?
2.7L V6 Twin Turbo AWD
$600 tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s1DsDPaLNo
$31k with 16,000 miles
41 cubic feet of interior space
>>17641058
>Should I get a Ford...
No.
That thing won't even have much more internal space than a hatch and you'll look like a fucking soccer mom driving it. If you want a hot hatch get a hot hatch.
>>17641102
my wife is pregnant and wants an AWD SUV
it has 41 cubic feet of space, that shits all over Audi and the Mercedes
What's your opinion on people who think they're superiors simply because they drive and manual and bash other people for driving auto
>>17641048
In a car it doesn't matter but on a bike it does.
man I don't know why don't you tell us yours, I bet it is interesting
>>17641048
I own both and I prefer manual 10/10 times
That being said, manual on a Econo shitbox is stupid, just like Auto on a sports car is too. And bantz will occur no matter what you say or how you say it.
>be me
>have friend who has a v6 mustang
>thinks he's the the shit for it
>my city has a "mustang club"
>asks to join
>they reject him because his mustang isn't an actual V8
>a few days pass by
>see he bought the "GT" badges and glued them to the side
>fast forward a couple mothns
>sells his mustang and buys a Nissan 350z
>gets license plates that say "V8 eater"
Is this a ricer or nah?
Haha.
All this self cucking instead of his getting a v8. Some bots will never be men.
That's almost as bad as the guy who put a V8 badge on his I4 Tiburon
>>17640890
Textbook bench-racing ricer, I bet he beats people in drag races on a daily basis.
>Spoiler alert: they had no idea he was racing them
Can we have a Twingo thread?
Just seeing this little fella being all happy and shit makes my heart melt away.
Whats your experience with them?
I have a china hx35 in my om662 swapped benz, leaks some oil otherwise all good
Btw that HURR BUY ONCE CRY ONCE shit is not allowed itt. The car is worth half the price of a OEM hx35
I've used them quite a bit at this point. Generally okay, and if they aren't, a rebuild kit gets them sorted. They certainly aren't as efficient as the big manufacturer units, but they get compressed air into the desired holes.
My DD work truck has an ebay HX35 unit on it as well. Put a spare holset kit I had in it and have had zero problems.
Anything from China is generally a crapshoot. You might get a pretty well sorted knockoff (or even something basically the same as a high dollar brand made on stolen tooling) or you might get a hot pile of shit.
For stuff like OP's slapping a turbo on an old diesel, or boosting the fuck out of some cheap car you haven't dumped a lot of money into the block, they're a good choice.
If you are one of those guys building a fresh motor with top dollar internals and whatnot, don't nig out on your fucking turbo.
correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the turbo the cheapest part of turboing a car?
doesn't the manifold work, EFI tuning, and piping in an intercooler cost more?
