Hey guys, I am in the market for a new car. I wanted an MX-5 but a nice MK1 costs like 7k where I live, yet I can find pretty decent condition RX-7 FC for 4k....
This would be my first car. Should I go with the Rotatory?
What the actual shit is a "MK1" miata, and also, there's no such thing as a decent condition FC. They were shit out of the factory. That's why they're so cheap.
>>17644303
It's the one that came before the mk2, mk3 and mk4
Only go FC if it has TARBO
I'm working as a car dealer AMA
Got any funny tales from the stealership?

New or used?
How much do you make off each car?
How is a gt3rs as a weekend car?
Obviously it's a track car but is it absurd to take it to a restaurant on Saturdays?
No? What kind of question is this even.

>Obviously it's a track car but is it absurd to take it to a restaurant on Saturdays?
Why not? If I am a richfag and owns this car, I will do it. Why not?
>>17643921
If you could afford it you'd most likely want to be more comfortable.
Post your ride's wheels.

I found a car I wanted for 4,200 and the guy selling it said the lowest he would go is 3800. I'm thinking I just bring $3000 cash and wave it in his face cause it would be hard to turn that down.
>>17643893
people on craigslist are probably way more prideful of their shitboxes than you think and probably aren't willing to go down too far so bring another grand with you just in case
>>17643893
post link to the car.
>>17644171
Thoughts? Also is taking that much cash sketchy? I'm carrying so it should all be good. https://holland.craigslist.org/cto/d/1990-miata-mx5/6225057700.html
If I lower my car, will it bring more mpgees?
yes, the lower the better
>>17643866
If you are driving on highways a lot, it should bring negligible MPGs because less of the tire would be hit by air. Otherwise, no. Either way, the style of driving is a lot more important than suspension.
Someone told me I can run my Civic on vape juice, is this true? I think my car vapes already, since all I see is blueberry vape whenever I accelerate. I know it's vape, because I vape more when I'm stressed out and rushing as well.
What does /o/ think of the Defender ?
>>17643797
They were not so good other than looks.
Incredibly unreliable despite electronics were minimal.
Bad interior. There were aftermarket companies that made custom interior for the Defender just because the stock ones are way below average.
unequivocally and uncategorically shit
>>17643797
>What does /o/ think of the Defender ?
It's an off-road legend. Next
I fucked up /o/.

Cry me a river. You will now learn from your mistake, that's what life is.

What does /o/ think about this car?
I cum every time I see this.
>>17643733
Love it. Wish I could afford one. Have 3 local and the sound they make, even at low accel. Grabber blue with black stripes, favorite combo
>>17643733
looks like a v6 mustang with a stripe

My dream car was an F-Type SVR until I saw a GT350 take off right in front of me. I literally got a slight boner with all the hair on my legs, hands and face standing up.
Young people who buy 20 year old BMW's are seen as poor kids who bought a car they can't afford to look rich.
Old people who buy 20 year old BMW's are seen as rich adults who bought a car they can afford because it could have been one of their dream cars when they were younger.
>the world is so reee-ist

Not really, no.
>>17643707
Yeah this post is pretty dumb
I miss my old E34, I just was too lazy to fix it's issues.
This is a thread to post the most gruesome of crashes in motorsport

Is that Ford RS200? Yes, it is.

"BECUS MUH DADDY DROVE A CHEBBY, AND HIS DADDY DROVE A CHEBBY, AND MY DADDY'S DADDY'S DADDY DROVE ONE TOO, SO I MUST DRIVE ONE SINCE IT'S A FAMILY TRADITION!
Any opinion I have for other truck under different brands are shit and because my family never drove them! HURR FOUND ON ROAD DEAD LOL!"
Brand loyalty is a strange thing.
Hey /o/
I want to get started with tuning/modding, And I'm looking for a good place to start. I'm a Amerifat who loves Euro cars, but I'm certainly not a big fan of the price tag on them.
This will also be my first car that isn't a hand-me-down Ford Explorer, so id like something that's actually fun to drive.
I'm leaning towards a VW Mk5 GTI for my first, And I'm trying to stay in the 6-8k range.
Any owners care to weigh in? Or anyone want to steer me towards a more affordable, yet sane option to start modding?
>>17642956
If you like VW, I'd get something with the 20v 1.8T, those things have a massive amount of aftermarket support and aren't that expensive, mainly because they're somewhat old by now.
Commonly found in Mk4 Golfs and Jettas, B5 Passats and A4s, and 1st gen A3s and TTs.
>>17642956
Why not buy an old bug? They're great starter cars because They're easy to work on and parts are so readily available. You can find them for around less than 4k if you're really looking for a project. If the older cars don't appeal to you then I would stick to trying to find a VR6 or some MK4 GTI. They pop up in my area all the time for less than 6k all the time.
>>17642983
Bugs are sexy, I have to admit.
What's a good starter bug?
Will the meme ever end? The only company who hopped off the bandwagon is VW. IRL, it only causes less fuel efficiency due to a turbo spooling up to take in more air, as well as fuel.

>Ford Mondeo/Focus -- 1.0L

Not unless emission standards become less retarded

It will end when most vehicles sold are hybrids or fully electric.

Should bikes be allowed to speed or lanesplit? I've been thinking about it, and there are a lot more advantages to a bike being ahead of traffic than there are him staying with traffic
>quickly get out of people's blind spots
>more visible out in front if traffic than behind some brotruck
>can see impeding dangers like road debris and water puddles more easily and further ahead
>faster than 99% of vehicles so you never impede traffic
>air cooled bikes won't overheat
>incoming merges are much safer than trying to not get sidewiped by the brotruck in the merging lane
>pretty much doesn't affect anyone else on the road and in fact will make less traffic for anyone behind you
Someone wanna chime in?
>should bikes be above the law?
No, retard.
>>17642812
Speed? No. Would encourage too much gooning I think.
Lane splitting? Eh, maybe. American highway drivers are pretty retarded, I don't know how I'd feel about doing that at speed. I'd have to hear from a Californiafag to see how that goes.
Filtering absolutely should 100% be legal everywhere.
Lanesplitting in jams and at red lights is alright, and lanesplitting in moving traffic is unnecessary and dangerous. Never got why some jurisdictions would restrict motorcycle to lanesplitting in moving traffic. Speeding is retarded altogether.
