Working on Within the Hinterland... still. Fucking kill me. Game is basically done, just got to fix some minor bugs and actually make the game end with a death screen or something idk. besides that it's looking good to ship.

The one part that is dragging me down is that I don't think it's good enough. The concept of the game is to collect resources during the day, then defend against monsters during the night. That just feels too boring to me.

Plus this project has been going on for WAY too long for me to actually want to work on it anymore. This is version 3, taking about 4-5 months to complete and the whole concept of WtH has been around for about a year and half. Half of me want's to ship it and just say hell with it, the half want's to just scrap it all togeather. I'm just afraid it will get overshadowed by shitty megaman re-sprites and other dumb fandom games, despite how hard i've worked on it.

It seems to be inspired by ancient Rome. The leg ribbons look like sandals, the ear thingy resembles a laurel crown and the necklace seems to based off of grapes. The puffy cloud texture at the edge of the dress is an excellent touch.

I also love Pinkie's dresses. They're very cute, especially the hat and I'm not at all bothered by the candy.

Aw, you're right. Fug, I'm so slow. She only wears them on the front legs, and I thought that they were supposed to be some kind of bracelets or something. But yeah, they're totally Roman sandals, I see it now.

My only problem with Pinkie's first Gala dress is that it looks too puffy. It's more noticeable compared to her other dresses, I found a nice pic for reference (ignore the watermark, I found it on Google):

Other than that, I think that the style, cheerful but not tacky, matches Pinkie perfectly. And the hat is my favorite part too.

You bite your lower lip and offer the bartender a short but understanding nod, “I understand, Empty Mug,” you scratch your hoof on top of the wooden table and, once the broken shards are gone completely, you add, “Add it to my tab, give me another one of the same kind,” you tap your hoof back at him. The bartender gives you a roll of his shoulder, as if checking if you had enough, and turns away to gently glide towards the bartending counter to pick up another glass and a big ball of salt; he hastily begins to prepare a cocktail.
Meanwhile, you turn to face the leaving duo and, before they disappear completely, you spread one of your wings and point it towards them, “Now hold there, ladies,” your charmingly warm voice reaches them in a harmony to the surrounding jazz, “I need to make sure of something,” you put your hoof against the back of your neck as you slowly being to massage it in a growing but calm irritation, “Are my ears playing tricks on me or is it true that somepony is spreading rumors about honest old me?”
You question follows with an intimidating but straight and blunt glare.

“I see,” you inspect her lean, slightly anorexic and plain, aquamarine body with that of an eye of an opponent – for sure, they are not athletes or even leisure pursuit racers, “Who did you hear it from?”
“I… I can’t say,” she shyly steps back and covers behind her companion; you caught her and she’s afraid.
“Its fine,” her friend retorts with a shrug as she takes another step towards the door, “We heard this from our friend but it is not his fault; that guy is a massive Wonderbolt fault and he said everypony knows about it.”

The point of this game is content creation consisting of writefagging, artfagging, roleplay, and PnP Quests (we need GMs!)

The town lives or dies by the will of the people through out-of-character choices regarding city-building and resource management discussed in the thread, as well as in-character events which occur during the course of play.

Rules: [GMs can use any system they wish, the following is a rough gist of what everyone has been doing and how well they are at it]
Day Planner- Each day divided into 3 slots. Morning, Afternoon and Evening. Briefly describe what you do in each usually a sentance or two long about what you decide to do. Be it a job, a quest or just being a neet working on invention you'll slowly work and increase you skills over time!
Skill increases are based on Tier System with each daily progress put towards reaching those Tiers up to a max of 5. For every Tier gained in a skill you gain an ability and a bonus to your roll involving that skill. Quests allow for double skill gains based on what you did on it. While jobs allow you to slowly increase skills while making money all the while. [Note if other Gms wish to use different systems they are well within their rights to.]

Census Rules: This allows you to not only apply yourself to the town registry, but also keep track of the kingdoms' stats when it comes time for the updates in thread. Each phase is handled as Upkeep, Improvement, Economic and then Event. Improvement and Economic phase are where players will be given the option of voting on the improvments to the town, what to build in the area and of course colonizing the wilds around us! While Economic allows for the players to donate any bits they have earned to help fund the town! Every 4k Gold Bits equates to 1 Base Point for building or colonizing the lands around us.

Let's all just calm down.
