Working on Within the Hinterland... still. Fucking kill me. Game is basically done, just got to fix some minor bugs and actually make the game end with a death screen or something idk. besides that it's looking good to ship.

The one part that is dragging me down is that I don't think it's good enough. The concept of the game is to collect resources during the day, then defend against monsters during the night. That just feels too boring to me.

Plus this project has been going on for WAY too long for me to actually want to work on it anymore. This is version 3, taking about 4-5 months to complete and the whole concept of WtH has been around for about a year and half. Half of me want's to ship it and just say hell with it, the half want's to just scrap it all togeather. I'm just afraid it will get overshadowed by shitty megaman re-sprites and other dumb fandom games, despite how hard i've worked on it.

Did a bunch more work on Everfree Outpost internals, but nothing I can really show off, as usual. Hopefully by the time the next thread comes around, I'll be done with the big rewrite and can get back to adding features. I should have more time to work on it during the summer, as well.

There used to be a script that would generate a google maps-style viewer for the entire save file. I think it's out of date now, but I'll definitely try to get it working again before the next big server update. That update will probably require resetting the save file, so it would be nice to provide a way for people to look around at everything they had built before the reset.

I've got the side characters, I've got the main villian and his motivations, I've found inspiration in my grandfather for a single ''one-off'' character (wich is awesome), BUT IT IS FUCKING HARD FINDING A MAP THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE NAMES ON IT

Okay here we go.

Writing: I have so many stories I want to write that I end up writing nothing at all. This makes me want to kill myself.
Drawing: I am still shit but my stuff starts to resemble the things I want to draw.
Coding: I made the blob able to jump and sound effects and other stuff. There is the possibility to expand this into a something that is a mixture of Megaman and Monkey Island, I imagine a scout coming back just after Chrysalis got away and fighting for his queen. Overall this is a completely different direction that I intended which was just a better text adventure.

Found some time to add some more sprites to the sheet. I was thinking that, although these were made with Dwarf Fortress in mind, they could also be used to make a pony-themed dungeon crawl. I've been also been thinking about how Pony Town works and how something along that line might make for a good co-op survival game like Don't Starve. I would like to give a project like that a shot should I find the time.

I can sometimes take a non transparency pic and make its background transparent. But I feel like that's more of a chore, not really Content Creation - for instance, it isn't the same as vectorizing.
