So my /k/unts i am in need of your assistance.
Today i came across a deal on a Jap Browning BLR lighweight in .308 win with the straight stock.
I fingered it for a bit and i didnt find any marks of wear, the checkering was nice and deep and there was no scrapes on metal or wood. The crown and bore looked prestine and the bluing looked nice. The cycling was also smooth.
So its basicly like new condition.
But the problem is that the dude asked 1600€ for it. Granted it has a decent 1,5x6x48 already mounted on it and he even said he will put in a few boxes of ammo for it. And i belive i can lower the price for a hundred euros or two.
The scope mounted on it is this one:
https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/yukon-jaeger-1-5-6x42.html
I cant find a funstiore with a webpage that sells new BLR's and i found one in my neighbouring country that sells them for 1200€ a pop.
So my question to you /k/ is should i hop on the offer or find something else. (it would be my general purpose hunting rifle, and i like it becouse i do allot of driven hunts)

In the meantime have some levergats.
Here is a nice Winchester 1895 Russian model from all angles.
One of the sexiest levergats imo
Would not recommend a new Marlin but besides the issues I've had with it, I'd say I like it.
Here are some Ivans handling the 1895 in the trenches.
Fun fact my great grandfather and his brother fought against Ivans on the Eastern front during ww1 in Galicia. Sadly his brother didnt return home.
>go to visit grandparents after coming back to Europe from vacation in the US
>tell them about how much I had
>tell them about how I went to a range and shot a bunch of pistols
>tell grandpa about this guy I met who fled the USSR in search of a better life, and how when I met him at this festival thing he was carrying an AK on his back and a glock in his waistband
>he flips a tit and goes on about murdermachines that are AKs
Ever done gun tourism, fellow europoors? Norwegian here. Shot a Sig 1911, Springfield XD .40, the smallest glock (I don't remember the model name), Beretta PS4X storm or whatever it's called, and a HK USP .40. It was a lot less hassle to go shooting in the US than it is here, you don't have to be a member of a club or any stupid BS like that, you can just bring your guns to any range and go shooting there. I know a lot of chinese people go to the US for gun tourism.
>>34546038
Off topic, but I want to start a buisness taking euro trash out shooting in the US. Like a gun tour guide. Would you pay for something like that?
>>34546038
Europoors go to ranges... ya, I guess that makes sense. You could just get an American friend with land to shoot on. Nothing more fun than reaching out 500 meters and making a gong ping, or running a shooting course outside surrounded by nature.
Personally I've got 28 acres of my own and a friend who made a private driving range that we shoot on.
I work at a LGS/gun range in Florida, had a a guy from England that came in to shoot the other day. We typically get tourists from England, Germany, and France. A couple months ago, a French Air Force Reservist chick that was an 8/10 came in and outshot most of the people that shoot here.
How many spare mags do you carry? I carry 10+1 with another 10rd in my pocket. Thinking of picking up a 13rd P2000 mag as my backup mag, but I'm not sure if an extra 3 rounds is going to make a damn difference unless I just carry an entire extra mag on me.

i carry 2 reloads for any handgun i carry. if it's a snubby, i have two speedloaders. if it's one of my glock .40 or 10mm, i have 2 mags on call. invest in a mag carrier for you belt, it will help offset the weight of the handgun and present the mag at the proper orientation. this isn't something you want to fuck up and do it stupidly by carrying it in your pocket

Four spares.

Yea it's .45 GAP but it's a Glock for $269. Ammo for $18.99

Apparently it's a bitch to convert to a common caliber, and won't take a carbine conversion. Interesting find, but no, thanks.

Since a Russia-NATO alliance may be necessary in the near future, would it be a good idea for Russia to adopt NATO calibers? I know it would be expensive at first, but think of how much logistical efficiency could be gained.

>NATO to adopt Russian calibers
No, because 7.62x54 is rimmed. Russia should just switch to 7.62x51.
>>34545929
7.62mm NATO is technologically obsolete and has no business being adopted by any modern fighting force.
So before I start, I want to emphasize I know nothing about guns. But I want to be prepared to defend myself in the event of anything, be it a natural disaster, civil war, human plague, I don't care. Knowing how to use guns is an essential survival skill. Do any of you guys have any good intro guides to guns or more general introductions to survivalism?
>>34545397
why would you worry about stuffl ike that, nothing is gona happen, you can always trust your neighbours, don't worry

Pros:
>the bullet travels at 5000000 fps and becomes superheated plasma after a few milliseconds of flight, it destroys tanks at contact and continues to tunnel through the ground for another 2 km.

Well you see, comrade. It can only be superheated plasma for so many second before it becomes nothing.

I never fired it, and I think the damned thing off a few days later. Do you think I could've potentially lost a doggo from that?

Evidently grandpa sawed it off himself and never told anyone. Don't think the atf can do shit if we don't technically have it anymore/ the registeree is dead.

With the new russian commander in Syria, its become very likely that Russia will increase its contingent and escalate their part in the conflict.
What stocks do i buy to profit from this? I already own Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon stocks, just double down? Is a US-response to a russian escalation likely? Maybe look towards european arms manufacturers?

For SOF, endurance sports. Hyper marathons. The Iron Man.
Also climbing hopefully progressing to free climbing short surfaces. Look up some clubs in your local area.
Oddly, a lot of surfers are popular too, but the kind of surfers that go out in dogshit weather.
