Can illegal immigrants buy guns easily in America? I don't know how the background check system works there.
>>34542480
.... you're asking if someone who is not a legal us resident can have their social security and background checked.... holy shit...
No. They cannot legally purchase a firearm.
Sage, it's over.
>>34542520
>holy shit...
Wow that's crazy that everyone on earth doesn't know how US background checks work. They must all be dumb or something.
>>34542640
>They must all be dumb or something
It is kinda common sense that someone who is here illegally wouldn't have a background to be checked

hey the meet up is really soon. Sunday the 16th I'm going to send out the final information email for location and times. this is an invite only event just due to the small size of the range and you gotta pm me at gqburner@gmail to get in on this.
all you have to bring is a gun and water for yourself. you do have to be 18 or older. I will provide food and targets, but there's nothing wrong with bringing more of either just need to plan
aight so targets. I've got paper, plastic milk jugs, soda cans, clay pigeons. but if you guys have stuff you want to bring that's gucci. BUT, nothing we can't clean up. no glass.

I'm planning on bringing some ammo but almost all of what I have is steel case.
Is that a problem?
I have some ammo but not much. If you'd like to shoot the PTR or whatever, bringing a box or two would be a good idea. I'm bringing everything in this pic and a USP and maybe an SKS.
>>34538017
I'll bring some ~2'x3' pieces of cardboard.
>>34538052
kek I'm bringing mostly steel case too.
>be 8-year-old me
>whole extended family is gathered at my grandparents' house for Thanksgiving
>Grandpa comes in the living room with an SKS and says "This is what the gooks were shooting at us"
>lets me rack the bolt a few times
What got you started on firearms, /k/?

>be me, 6 years old

>Dad cuts in and says "Hey if you want, I could show you how to fire a real gun sometime."
>Sure dad, lemme get back to shooting aliens
>fast forward 2 weeks
>learning how to fire a beat up Ruger MK II at some cans in the forest next to our house
>fall in love with shooting at that moment
I still have that pistol somewhere.
Probably gonna refurbish it soon.
Shot my dad's CO2 scoped pellet rifle with him when I was ~5 years old. Got to hold an Ak5, and ride a helicopter and a Bv206 a few years after that.

Can anyone tell me what was dropped by the drone? I wonder what kind of explosive and how much of it caused such a big explosion.
1 in 100 shot onto a truck carrying munitions is why the explosion was so large
>>34555654
that's not really a big explosion. most of what you see is just smoke and debris.
>>34555753
That grenade dropped by the drone seems pretty small though.
I guess that truck was really carrying ammunition of some kind.
Why shouldn't I own one?

Any reason to go with the FN 509 over a VP9? I keep hearing advertisements for it while listening to Glenn Beck on the AM radio. Both manufacturers have nice rebates going on.
You might find the FN to be slightly cheaper than a VP9, but otherwise I imagine it'd come down to personal preference.
>>34555024
I did hold a vp9 back when they were the meme gun of the decade with an $850 msrp. Was nice, but goddamn, the fucking maching marks on the slide were just screaming at me.
>>34554670
Why would you want a handgun with a compact slide and full size grip? It's the worst of both worlds for everything.
>>34555071
The only two VP9's I ever held made a horrible screeching noise when I racked the slide. Not sure if it was just those particular guns (they were showroom models) or if they all do that, but it turned me off of them quick.
So how effective are bombing runs against dug in infantry? Say you got a poorly armed pure infantry force with no armor or anti-air but they are hidden in extremely dense jungle and have intensive tunnel and cave complex to hide in over a fairly large area. Let's say we can't send in boots on the ground for whatever reason but we can conduct a no hold barred carpet bombing campaign for however long it took to flush them out. How effective would it be compared to actually sending our army there to flush them out on the ground?
>>34554281
>carpet bombing
I thought that most modern powers used precision strikes from either fighter jets/drones or missiles launched from ships.
>>34554301
Well the battlefield is extremely dense jungle and without boots on the ground, there's no way to get accurate data for precision strikes on a bunch of tunnel complexes. Not to mention that if you have to wipe out an entire army using air power alone, carpet bombing is the way to go.
>>34554281
Depends on the bomb faggot
Quick question. Is it legal in the US to purchase/own/use a VSK-94? If so, where could I buy one?
>>34554124
There are none in circulation in the US.
If it was legal you'd need a silencer tax stamp assuming it was semi auto only.
>>34554124
>>34554164
>Is it legal in the US to purchase/own/use a VSK-94?
there are no rule prohibited you owning and using VSK-94
the problem is how to get one into the state, i think KBP- the designer of the rifle is a Russian state own entity, so they are on the sanction list

Discuss space warfare, post existing space weapons and concepts for space weapons
Pic related, TP-82, brought into space by Soviet cosmonauts, it has a fucking machete as an attachable stock and is meant for if land in Siberia.
Triple barreled, two barrels of 12.5x70 shells up top and one barrel for 5.45x39mm on the bottom.

Why are we still using Harpoons? Aren't these things outdated by a longshot?
>>34553347
Because LRASM hasn't been adopted yet. It should be about a year.
>>34553347
>get BTFO about LCS armament
>make a separate thread complaining about Harpoons
Harpoons are old but still effective, sticking box launchers on a ship is a low cost way of adding additional firepower.
LRASM, NSM, Tomahawks and SM-2/SM-6 are also a thing.
>>34553347
Because planes and ships can shit them out in stupid quantities.
