http://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/07/14/army-mulls-creating-new-pay-grades-for-senior-ncos.html
>The U.S. Army's top enlisted leader is trying to build momentum for an effort to create two new pay grades -- E-10 and E-11 -- to compensate senior noncommissioned officers as they take on more command responsibility.
>Currently, enlisted pay grades stop at E-9, but command sergeants major typically advance from battalion level to higher command positions such as brigade-, division- and corps-level CSM without additional compensation.
>Commissioned officers receive a pay increase each time they are promoted, all the way up to four-star general.

My dad's buddy passed away recently and left him this SKS and a Ruger P85. Dad already has an older SKS and didn't want this one. He decided to give it to me as an early birthday present.
I'm feeling pretty good. How about you, /k/?
Picture very related.

Why are these Shockwaves considered to be non NFA regulated firearms but if I want a 14inch barreled shotgun I have register it and go through all the extra cost and paperwork?
>>34556428
loop holes are a thing my freind
Because they are pistol grip only.
>>34556428
Because the NFA's clauses on SBR and SBS are asinine. They were implemented to prevent people from circumventing a handgun ban that they ended up dropping from the NFA. Nothing about it makes fucking sense, it is all bullshit.
If a full scale war between US and China took off, would the US start to require conscription again? Would Russia hop in or take advantage of opening opportunities?
Would NATO even fucking do shit?
>>34556196
No
no
no
>>34556217
>no
wrong
Everything else on point though.
>>34556196
Few NATO countries have the force projection capabilities to actively participate in the conflict. However they would likely take steps against the Chinese economically. Russia, if they were smart, would do nothing but take advantage of the temporary increase in oil prices and try and build up their financial reserves (which are in terrible shape) and try and build up their economy. It would be a bad move to try and push into Eastern Europe as most European armies would be in a higher state of readiness and Russia lacks the funds necessary to take part in a prolonged conflict. US would likely not require conscription as economic factors would force China, or both sides to the table. War would most effect China, Taiwan, Republic of Korea, DPRK (if they participate), and Japan.
I was looking around for a new carry gun and I found the sccy cpx-2, brand new, for $280 with case and it might have come with an extra mag. How does /k/ feel about sccy, and this gun in particular, I'm not familiar.
its a disposable gun designed to be carried a lot and shot sparingly. its main purpose is to give poorfags a false sense of security.

It's cheap ass nigger shit. You get what you pay for. You might as well get a Taurus or a Hi-Point. Are you really that broke right now? If you save up just like 100 more bucks, you can get something decent.
>>34556158
$280 is too high, you're in an entire better pistol bracket at that price. The customer service is top notch because they all basically break at some point. Very cheap materials and a notoriously bad trigger. It's part of the Florida Legion of Shitty Gun Manufacturers.
I just bought one of these for dirt cheap. What should I expect?
>>34555931
the normal AR experience
>>34555931
Not a HORRIFIC rifle but it wont last more than 25 years. It's the lowest of tiers of ars and will perform just fine for you.
That being said, dont expect anything amazing from it; but it will function just fine.
How cheap is dirt cheap? 600 is their going rate.

It's an AR. That's about all I can say.

Solution for a non-existent problem, just like .40 S&W.
How do I remove rust from an old gun? I have a dinky old H&R revolver that's missing a few parts. The worst thing about it is the rust.
I've considered soaking the gun in vinegar because I know that it works magic at dissolving rust but will I damage the gun this way?
Are there better alternatives?

So I picked up a LNIB Gen 4 Glock 19 FDE a few days ago. I had avoided them when I saw they had ejection issues years ago when they came out. I figured all the problems had be fixed. But tons of brass in the face today at the range and one stove pipe out of 100 rounds fired.
It's a ZYN serial so it was made late 2015, the ejector is a 30274 part that was supposed to fix the issue, the guide rod is marked 0 3 4, not sure about extractor.
Also had one seriously fucked up round from winchester white box 115 gr 9mm. What a fucking disappointing day at the range.
Glock perfection??? How could they let these pieces of shit leave the factory? Even my old cheap ass Ruger SR9 can eject properly and hasn't had a hiccup in 3,000 rounds or so... What the fuck?
Do I fix this thing or sell it to some other poor sucker?
>>34555457
Glock really is a meme.
I've ditched all of mine. There are literally better options in every caliber, at every price point.
>>34555457
Is the extractor the problem? Seems like it would barley grab the rim the way it's slanted, others I've seen on other pistols are flat
>>34555469
Yeah I wanted to like this G19... but how can I after half the casing hit me in the face and forehead... not to mention the stovepipe.
Extractor geometry seems strange. See how it slants to the side? I'm used to seeing flat ones.
If pic related were still around, would the F-35 have been such a fiasco and what would it have looked like/been capable of?
It would have been fully in service over 10 years ago, been three separate planes from the get go, would have been mach 2+ capable, and been actually capable of respectable BFM relative to current aircraft.
>>34555487
This, Johnsons successfully pumped out a dozen record breaking aircraft based on bleeding edge technology, many of which still have not been surpassed today in the span of time it's taken for the JSF program to produce anything even marginally capable.
Lockheed Martin should be fucking embarrassed with themselves.
>>34555415
How is the F35 a fiasco? Its more of a misrepresentation of the budget of the program, than a bad aircraft.
