Are side saddles a "you get what you pay for" thing or is it a normal thing to cheap out on? They seem oddly expensive for what they are.

most of the time yes. there are some cheap as shit ones that crap out after normal use. i tend to like the velcro and elastic ones.

It depends.

I have one of those TacStar and it's worked fine. Not fancy, but it wasn't $80 like the Mesa ones are.

I do like the Mesa ones being lower profile however.

I have a 7-round velcro side saddle for my Benelli M2 made by Esstac. Very nice for $15.

Hoppes #9 solvent, clp, a brush, a ramrod, and some patches should be all you'll need to clean. What distance are those groupings from? Ignore the trolls and you can get some halfway advice to improve your accuracy here

Share trades or deals you have made. Did you come out on top or did you regret it completely?

I plan on trading my Glock 30 for a CZ RAMI this week; anything I should know?

Why didn't the U.S ever adopt the AK-47?
10 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>34768007

you mean our clone of it, the AR-18? Because by that point the military waned a .223 round not a .308 caliber round
>>
>>34768007
No
>>
>>34768007
Because it doesn't fit well with US military doctrine that utilizes squad machine guns providing suppressive fire while riflemen maneuver and utilize aimed semi auto fire to eliminate the enemy.
AR family of weapons: Precisely made, accurate, utilized modern materials and manufacturing techniques, generally utilized as a semi auto rifle for aimed fire, secondary function as a full auto for suppressing fire, hence the safety selector goes from semi then to auto or burst.

AK family of weapons: Robust stamped steel and wood construction, loose tolerances make for reliable weapons but accuracy suffers, cheap and easy to manufacture with minimal machine work involved. Designed as an assault weapon first, secondary function as a semi auto rifle for aimed fire, hence the safety selector goes from safe to full, then to semi auto.

I always like to say that im going on day 2,
But when the time comes I always say fuck it.

Anything awesome, rare, or cheap is always gone the first day, usually within the first hour. I always feel retarded going to tanner, then just paying 10 dollars to get in, then just walking around looking at the stupidly overpriced armalites and the crusty turk mausers.

Ive been trying to find an armory marked wasr for years, but They just dont show up anymore.

I haven't been to a Tanner gun show since 2013, but assuming nothing has changed since then you guys really aren't missing anything. It's the usual trash selection, price gouging, and irrelevant vendors selling irrelevant merchandise.

>.45 being shot through a wet, decent sized suppressor makes less noise than a bullet hitting a steel target

Truth or myth?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>34767372
Well .45 is already essentially a subsonic round from it's low muzzle velocity, so not breaking the sound barrier doesn't issue a report.

But less noise than hitting a steel target? well that shit's a bit loud, not sure what bearing the suppressor being wet has on how quiet it works.
>>
>>34767372
Very hard to tell given the steel is far away and the muzzle is next to your ears and one sound is sharp and fast and the other resonates. Not that I know shit about .45 suppression, but with suppression in general, there's definitely some relative, perceived wiggle room.

Youtube is not a good source to measure sounds
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1-IOu3m11Y (just listen to the gun firing, it's ridiculously silent even the steel target makes a louder sound)
you want concrete evidence you need dB measures

Arms: Ar-15, nugget, glock, ak, 1911
Vehicles: Any American made Pickup or Jeeps
Camo:Multicam/MARPAT
Tanks:Like any of us could afford one
Aviation:Ultra lights, Cesnas, and Ultra Light helis
Naval:Fishing boats/Sailboats/Yachts
>>
As far as ordnance goes we could get some
>93 Octane
>Styrofoam
>Rubbing Alchahol

Load it into PVC tubes and use an electric ignition system to effectively make napalm pipe bombs

There was a guide about making C1 so that's an option

if sand niggers in Syria can make IEDs so can we
>>
>>34767628
For a tank we could supe up a bulldozer with armor, more of a pushy push than a shooty shoot tank.

The problem is how we are moving this all, my vote is to buy an Alaskan crab fishing boat for a little less then 200k, which is about what they go for.

Hey, what camo is Putin wearing here? Is that Mandrake?

There are so many reasons why shooting is the best hobby.

>largest purchases retain value even decades later (guns)
>smallest purchases retain value even decades later (ammo)
>medium purchases (slings, lead sleds etc) don't retain value but that's okay too
>basically unlimited skill ceiling
>good excuse to go camping
>can bring in steady food supplement if you're poor
>young people, old people, women, children can all compete very well but still male-centric hobby
>no black people at all because they can't legally own guns because they all have felony records

Truly the best hobby and sport in the history of all hobbies and sports.

change "gun" to "wine" or "art" and it works even better
>>
>>34766915
Wine makes you fat with purple teeth. Blind tests show people prefer cheap California wine.

Art is just a Jewish money laundering scheme.
