Hypothetical situation
>Store you're at has an armed robbery
>Sneak behind the robber and shoot them in the head
Would you be charged with murder for committing an execution?
>>34776479

>>34776479
You might be charged, but no court could convict you.

Somebody just watched Taxi Driver.
>You need a license to own an air pistol in NYC.

airsoft is banned in San Francisco.

welcome to the demise of freedomland

In Aus you need to become a member of a club, compete a min number of comps per year and wait 6 months to get an air pistol.

>>34776450
No, its terrible.
>>34776450
yes and no. its a great time waster if you and your friends want to turn off your brains for a while, but its pretty bad.
I used to. then they changed the interface in a way that my old setup + key mapping no longer worked and I went and did other things.
Rifle passed down from a deceased friend. From what I can tell, it is a 1947 Model 36 Marlin 30-30, serial 16XXX. Has obvious damage and some nicks. Eventually going to take it to a professional to look at but wanted /k/'s opinion.
Picture isn't mine but is same model. Photos I have are too large for mobile. Will try on my desktop.
>>34776428
are you really going to sell something that belonged to your friend and was gave to you, asshole?
I'll give you about three fifty
>>34776428
Don't sell it ! Especially as a Dead friend left it to you.
That's when Marlins were very well made and its probably taken hundreds of deer. Great piece of history.
>>34776320
God yes.
>>34776320
I prefer the 1927 version
>>34776320
No.
Have you actually held one?
They're heavy as shit, awkwardly unwieldy, and generally worse in every way than a host of other options.
They look kind of neat and have a lot of nostalgia value, and would even be a fun range toy, but that's it.

Anybody remember those silly looking German helmets? Well they just saved the life of one police officer.
As some of you may have heard about a week ago Germany got culturally enriched by a Kurd shooting people in a disco with his trusty M16. Now before people scream terrorism this particular Muslim has been living in Germany since 1991 and that older generation is more interested in drug dealing, bodily harm and organized crime than religion. (Kinda like different types of terminators have different weaknesses)
That aside the interesting thing is that this particular Musliminator shot a police officer in the head (at close range I assume) and the bullet didn't go through the helmet.

>He aimed at the head of the police officer and scored a hit. The police officer survived thank's to his titanium helmet.

Are there any benefits for incendiary artillery shells as opposed to explosive artillery shells? When would you favor one over the other.
Are napalm or white phosphorous shells more or less lethal than shells meant to kill by shrapnel and concussive force
>>34768930
> when do you burn shit
When you want to burn shit, to clear brush and lines of sight, to deny an area, to create a big hot smoke screen, when you want to terrify the enemy.
Generally, HE is more lethal, but it lacks these utilities. HE fragments and shrapnel will travel father through the air than incendiary substances, and so HE shells have a wider area of effect.
Incendiaries often tiptoe the line between "a-ok butcherin" and "Chemical Weapons"' which is also a consideration.
>>34768930
They are the best thing to use against bears.
I figure you use HE to blow the building apart, and if that doesn't get them you toss some incendiaries in
I have two carry pieces. A Glock 19 and an LCP2. I can shoot the Glock 19 pretty well and I shoot it often, but it's a pain to wear. I have sciatica so pretty much within an hour of wearing it on my hip I start to get lower back pain, especially when I walk.
The LCP on the other hand is a dream to carry. I just slip it in my pocket and I don't even know it's there, but I can't shoot for shit with it. It slaps my hand hard no matter how tight I hold it and after about 25 rounds I usually just give up, and I can't get a two hand grip on it without putting my thumb too close to the barrel for comfort, so I usually just end up shooting it one handed. Shooting Federal Hydrashock JHP makes the recoil far more tolerable and I can actually make some OK groups, but at 67 cents a round it's not really affordable to practice with. What should I do?
1)try to make the Glock work. maybe a hybrid leather/kydex holster with a faggy suspender setup would work better for me than the current pure kydex holster, then only carry the LCP if I absolutely cannot strap on the glcok
2)pony up for more Federal Hydrashock rounds and learn to shoot the LCP2 effectively. If anyone has any recommendations for cheaper, low recoil .380 I'd gladly take them.
3)Find an intermediate gun that is easier to shoot than the LCP but smaller than the glock.
I can't be the only one with this issue.
Thread is more about CC setups themselves then just posting your EDC
>>34776133
How old are you an can I get you blogs url?

Walther PPS M2.
Appendix carry the glock. Get a proper appendix holster or Mexicarry like I do and it practically disappears.
>Pound for pound Rhodesian light infantry was regarded as some of the best in the world
How accurate would you say this description is? I've been reading on the Bush War
It is a pretty accurate claim. The RLI were damn good fighters, however a pound for pound statement means very little considering the entirety of the Rhodesian military in 1979, was only about a third the size of the US Marines.
They did have some excellent elite infantry units, but remember that most of their forces were reservists. They are similar to the Israeli Army in that the poor quality of their opponents made them look better than they were.
>>34776102
>Rhodesian light infantry was regarded as some of the best in the world
is that why they lost?
Self defence thread....
What do you wear all the time with you to defend yourself?
I wear pic related with me all the time because my shithole of a country is not safe anymore...
The entire knife is 43 cm in length.
Its not legal to wear it outside of your home but invading a foreign nation is illegal too and nobody cares so who gives
So what do you have?
Glock 19
Is pepper spray/gel effective for self defense? What about tasers?

A Defender tactical knife.I got it a yard sale for 5 dollars. It's high quality and sturdy.Best knife I've owned so far, I have a small collection.
To all Europeans from /pol/:Most of you aren't allowed to own guns because of European gun laws. But you can still carry a knife, get one asap. You have a right to self preservation. Please be careful.I'm going to buy a handgun myself soon.
Let's have a bit of fun with a what if:
In this timeline the 91 Coup happened, and was still defeated, but the Union of Sovereign States/USS isn't shelved and goes through as originally intended. The Warsaw Pact collapsed as per the original timeline. This leaves a mostly intact post-USSR that still suffers from the problems the USSR did, and the successor states, so there would likely be reduced military spending, but nothing on the scale of what happened after the dissolution of the union in real life. While the USS would almost certainly move further from communism, this wouldn't necessarily translate into less international tension, because it would lack the Warsaw Pact buffers, it would still represent a major power bloc with interests against the West's and there would still be a great deal of changes happening geopolitically and a lot of uncertainty relating to that.
So let's assume the Cold War doesn't end, but changes. What would this mean for military procurement in the past three decades? What would the US military look like now, and the USS? What about the rest of NATO and former WP? I would imagine we'd see stuff like wider F-22 production, the Commanche would have been built, we'd have Seawolfs rather than Virginias, but what else? What would happen politically in Europe? How would China's rise compare?
TL;DR - The USSR survives as the USS, minus the Warsaw Pact, what happens to the world, and what happens to its armies?
Opium or heroin fueled this thought process, didn't it?
