The problem is how we are moving this all, my vote is to buy an Alaskan crab fishing boat for a little less then 200k, which is about what they go for.

Being real, the biggest killer on the modern battlefield is artillery. Small arms and pickups aren't going to cut it. You need skilled observation teams, with good maps, and good radios. You need big guns and teams that know how to man them: that one of the cornerstones of having your own almost-nation. They could be makeshift as barrels filled with shot considering the enemy but you'd be better off with something reliable and ranged.
