Is there anyway to knife a human in a self-defense situation that doesn't make you look like a crazed psychopath in court? I hear in some states its on par with using an axe and pussy suburbanite jury members will immediately assume malice.
I think the only ones that can get away with using a knife in self-defense are women and that's because they can get away with anything in court.
Why would you want to use the worst self defense weapon?
Be in your own kitchen
Use a kitchen knife
Have half prepared food on a cutting board
Can someone give me the full details on lead exposure and lead poisoning when handling and firing ammunition and firearms?

It hangfires.

This but unironically
Nothing bad, unless you rotate the cylinder immediately instead of giving the bullet ten Mississippi's to get it's shit together.

What kind of faggot ranges do you go to?
the average ROs near me look like hickok

The former. BRRRRRRRRRRT beats one big BANG any day.

In anything like a post Katrina situation or worse, would there be a benefit to wearing rifle plates to defend against looters/aggressors? How much do they decrease the maneuverability of an in-shape adult male? Do they impair your ability to shoot a rifle normally? I know the best answers would come from me trying a few on, but I'm not sure what brick and mortar store even sells them around me.
>>34760679
The main issue for body armor is the plates, if their not "shooters cut" they'll be square which MIGHT interfere with your hold/stance. For mobility it's not an issue, for starters you WILL NOT DODGE bullets it's better to be armored than fast, and in a SHTF a bruse is far better than a sucking chest wound. If possible go to a airsoft store, they'll have different copycat vests to try out, and even the higher grade ones are GTG for combat use.
I think they would be a nicessity when bugging in. There's no reason to hide your powerlevel when you've waited until they're in your front lawn. Walking around is a different story. You might end up on the wrong side of a good guys gun because you're a scary looking dude walking on HIS front lawn.
As for shooting, yes, they are a bit of a pain but you just train and work around it. Adjust as needed. It's not really an issue. The only real issue would be using steel plates and thinking you can run down your street without collapsing from the exertion because you've never ran with it before. Jogging in the morning every other day isn't the same as jogging with something so constricting, heavy, and cumbersome. It's not a mountain of pain in the ass, just something most people are going to have trouble with.
Pic unrelated
a lot of people on /k/ insist plates would be useless for any shtf situation but I cant think of a single reason plates would be a bad idea for bugging in which is what you should be doing if possible. If you're going to get plates get ceramic plates, steel plates can be defeated with commercially available loads out of a 16 inch AR (50 gr tsx)
are there guns with cool names or are they all just name of creator + version number?

My department is making us all buy our handguns to carry while on duty. I don't know much about handguns. When I was in the USMC they issued us M9's and I thought they were terrible. Should I just buy a glock like everyone else?
If /k/ was a rookie cop who had the liberty to choose, what would y'all pick and why?

AR pistol in .300Blackout, suppressed of course

Glock or sig

Glock or CZp10c would be my choice.

I always liked you and your stories, you need to find better booze. I'm disappointed.
A little Old Dark Fired, local aged rum, and my USP45c. Also grilling vegetables to make salsa.
Hey /k/, I need some advice.
I'm getting my CCW license and I'm looking for a concealed carry handgun.
I've had my eyes on the LCP, the LCP2, the LC9 and the S&W Shield. Problem is, everywhere I look the results look like paid forum shilling. So I ask, which of the 4 is the best, or are all 4 shit and I should opt for something completely different?
I'd definitely recommend the shield of the 4. I think most people would
I'd go with the shield
I have an lcp 1 and have shot a shield some so take my limited experience for what its worth
The lcp runs fairly well but if never seen it to run 100%. Not to say any gun will run 100% but the lcp leaves some to be desired. Works 99% with self defense ammo.
Lcp also has some wierd shit like a false trigger reset and its just too damn small to run well.
For the price its still a great pocket pistol though.
I can't speak to the lcp 2
Shield is just a stellar gun overall. The trigger is a little on the meh side but the trigger really doesn't matter if you have the fundamentals down.
Still very thin and would be easy to carry.
>>34774943
LCP/LCP2 is great and reliable for an ultra compact gun small enough to pocket carry if need be. The m&p is a better gun but it's a little bit larger and heavier and more expensive. Disregard the lc9.
>find cool milsurp on armslist
>look up name of gun in archives, hoping to get more info
>mfw the seller is a /k/ommando
what do /k/ommandos??? I really want the gun but I also don't want to look like an autist, should I just pretend that I know nothing?

Honestly just treat it like a regular transaction. Meet at a gunstore to keep things on the up and up. Talk about guns you like, or something new or interesting you've shot recently. Treat it like you found another person interested in a hobby and handle the transaction professionally. Agree on price beforehand, prepare to bargin if necessary etc etc.
>>34760558
nah it could be you
>>34760600
yeah I've done like twenty of these before, some seemed /k/ommando like but never a confirmed /k/ommando
oh and the /k/ommando meme is stupid
What is the name of the international agency that issues figthers generation certificates?
If there is none, then there isn't really an official definition for a 6th gen airplane. Thus you can't prove the PAK-FA is not a 6th gen.
>>34760037
No S-ducts, its just a 4th++
It's clearly an 8th generation plane
>>34760063
>No S-ducts, its just a 4th++

>Guys, we need to make a photo of the PAKFA, so cover up or upstruct the view in the air intakes like on every other picture!
It is almost uncanny how often you can see that on those pictures. I am aware there is one picture not doing this, but it is still so evidently happening in the others.
Alright /k/, there is something I don't understand. Wikipedia says that ISIS has 20,000 men fighting for them, which is much less than what either Assad or the Kurds have. If this is the case then why was ISIS such a threat?
>>34759839
US and arab money + training, intel, constant influx of new members through Turkey
During the golden days of isis the saa was in a chaotic state. They were throwing all their recources at the battles for the mayor cities in the west of the country (damascus, aleppo, hama, homs, daraa, ..) leaving the eastern parts of the country easy prey for isis. Same for the kurds who back then were basically just tribes all fighting for their own village. Only when they were driven into a corner the kurds figured out they stood a much better chance when teaming up. So they regrouped, held the line and eventually started pushing back isis (alot faster once the us started supporting them). Same for the saa, it took russian airsupport and iranian manpower to stabilise the battle in the west. Only then could the saa regroup and start resisting further advances from isis
Also low morale combined with the terror isis spread (mass executions, torturing, ..) meant most of the time soldiers and tribal warriors would either retreat, surrender or even pledge alliance to isis rather than put up a fight
You're stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with only pic related as your protection. You can only carry the shells in the tube, and enough for one full reload. What shells do you carry, and why?
One 00 buckshot shell and the rest 1 oz full power slugs
