What holster are you using?
I shot my AR today, and I'd fire 2-3 shots before the bolt and carrier failed to go into a battery, i.e there was an unfired cartridge in the chamber but the bolt wasn't locked up in the barrel extension, I had to mortar it open and still got the same issue. I was using magpul pmags and my rifle was soaking wet. This happened multiple times through the course of a 30 round mag but didn't happen in the 20 round mag
I think either the locking recesses were so dirty that It was slowing down the bolt or the pmags feed lips were warped from the tension of keeping them loaded for a a month and were slowing down the carrier in the return stroke.
Ammo was 55 grain federal factory reloads through a direct gas upper.

A family friend gifted me a Lee Enfield like pic related that been used. Had it inspected by a gun shop owner and he said its good to after a good cleaning.
