>SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED
Why did it fall apart?
>rise of warlords with bigger, more advanced armies
>terrible taxation system
>constantly being undermined by foreign powers
>a rising group of young intellectuals who would constantly criticise the regime
Refusal to modernize the armies or the economy, had they adopted a constitution the royal family could've staved off the mob for at least another 50 years
combination of western interference and influence, incredible corruption and meme taxes, the rise of regionalism, and most importantly an imperial court placing the position of the ruling manchu elite above else no matter what the cost.
only truly embraced reform after the boxer rebellion which was more a deathbed conversion than anything else. by that point they had eroded so much good will towards the regime and had been so thoroughly delegitimized that it didn't take a ton to push them over
Historically, why is the Middle East such a clusterfuck? I'm especially talking about the modern conflicts, but i also notice the region has this kind of issues since the days of Alexander the Great. So, why it is? It is the same reason of why the Balkans are so unstable? (this is, large group of ethnicities in a curious geographical position?)
>>2840592
>why is the Middle East such a clusterfuck?
...it isn't :^P
>>2840600
>it isn't
C'mon, even if the conflicts aren't that old as i said (which is debatable), you can't qualify a region with such a large amount of conflicts in the last 40 years to be "stable". (Also, forgive my shitty cropping).

Jews.
I'm extremely serious about this question, so here me out.
What if in 212 BC, when Hannibal captured Tarentum, instead he turned into a snake?
In this scenario: in that spring day, the news of the Romans besieging Capua is yet to arrive. Hannibal is sitting alone , when suddenly he feels off.
Too preoccupied, he doesn't document the experience:
>his skin discolors
>it becomes rougher
>his tongue forks
>eyes goes black, it becomes hard to write
>legs shrink into body
>arms shrink into bodies, Hannibal can no longer write
The rest of the transformation takes place; what was once a human of normal stature is now a slender creature of significant girth.
This scenario assumes that Hannibal retains his intelligence. What happens next? The first obstacle would be him to return to Capua. Then the next challenge is convincing everyone there who he is. Best case is that he does, but what about everyone else? Is he able to continue his job? How is he treated by peers, the general public, and enemies?
Discuss.
I'm enjoying this
As official representative of /his/, I give you permission to continue anacondaposting
I'm glad it caught on, Alternate History Theorist must be proud.

Russians have inferiority complex
That's why they celebrate victory of WW2 in 9th May instead of 8th May like the rest of the world.
Also they like to think that WW2 was just them fighting nazis, otherwise you give capitalistic anglos and americans too much credit.
Why were the Japanese so brutal towards the Chinese and their other enemies? Did they view them as inferior or what?
>>2840373
they wanted to establish themselves as the new bosses of asia
unfortunately this only led to the of the CCP, and all the headaches they now face with a rising china, so much so abe is forming a team to join China's AIIB
>>2840373
They viewed all Asians with disgust, basically everyone they came into contact was put into work camps with an enormous rate of death.
>>2840390
Thanks for the response
What was their general attitude towards whites? Did they view them as inferior or what?
What if Hitler didn't delay on the launching of German armor on Normandy?
Could the invasion be repelled if the Panzers could be deployed at the beginning?
What if?
What if?
What if?
Anyone tired of what might've been? I want to talk about what actually happened. Y'know, cuz history
>>2840292
It didn't work at Salerno. Can you give me any reason why it would work out better at Normandy? They'd get chewed up by air and naval fire long before they rolled the Allies into the sea.
>>2840292
What if America stayed the fuck out of foreign wars?
Specifically in Canada and the USA. Did they even ever catch up?
when the rape-babies survived
>>2840378
Yeah I've heard that, but would that mean once they started living around domesticated animals they got ruffly the same immunity as Europeans? I don't know much about this sort of thing but wouldn't immunity be heritable? And thus they wouldn't just impatiently catch up as soon as they started living with animals.
>>2840360
Obviously not a serious answer but I doubt that's true because what about the natives with little to no Europian ancestors?
>>2840421
>little to no
Proofs, did they die after the photographer found them
Pro-tip: you can't. Everything we do is a part of our master plan.

>25 year rule
Thought Reagan would be a good president.

Honestly, I'll admit so far that Trump is a bad President, but it's just a part of our master plan. Reagan was a great President, though.
I've been dabbling in Latin lately and am itching to hear some authentic spoken examples. Is there anything (podcast, youtube, film, whatever) I can listen to where they speak with fluency in real Latin? By real I mean not ecclesiastic pronunciation.
Oh also I should specify I'm not looking for learning materials, I'm interested rather in people actually using the language in natural conversation. Though beggars can't be choosers so I'll appreciate any response.
This movie:

It's more or less Classical pronunciation, but they do have a heavy Polish accent since it's a Polish production.

Thanks friend, this looks fun
Who killed President Kennedy /his/? Was the Government involved? Were the Soviets involved? Was the shooter from the Grassy Knoll or the Texas Schoolbook Depository? I only want the truth!
>>2840069
The deep universe killed him.
The 1960's wasn't looking for hero's.
It was looking for martyrs.
The 60's is all about powerful influential figures getting killed and shot.
The reason is because martyrs were needed, to remember the past to provide a powerful secure future for mankind so that man does not exterminate themselves with weapons they were never meant to obtain.

If Hitler had decided not to go after Stalingrad and split his forces what would have happened? Would they have maybe had a better chance and maybe even had succeeded in conquering the Soviet union.
>>2840025
Forgot to say. Why at the point of when Hitler went against his generals and didn't retreat from Stalingrad why didn't they just try and kill him. They could have, he pissed off a lot of them
Why don't you look it up on google instead of shitting up the board
>>2840025
I can't even figure out what you're trying to ask.Are you asking about the strategic wisdom of operating down south in the first place? The operational wisdom of splitting up to try to hit both Stalingrad and the Caucasus simultaneously? The retreat when the operation failed to meet objectives? Specify your question or questions.

Hello Genghis
What would be the best way to acquire accurate, replica uniforms for use in a reenactment?
Have any of you ever been in one? What time period?
>>2839789
bump
>>2839789
Local gun shows have a lot of military memorabilia
WW2. 272 volksgrenadiers
Its really easy to find one in your area. And finding reproduction uniforms are very easy. There are at least half a dozen good quality reproduction vendors online who sell uniforms, boots and equipment. Putting together a good uniform and equipment with personal items and other tid bits should be under 500 dollars.
