Phone posters are NOT bad.
(If they put in the effort to spell well)

Really, how often do you see someone abbreviate "You" as "u"?
You don't, because spellcheck exists.

Stop creating boogeymen.

So /g/ i made a small web server program in C
Its working is simple, it listens for a connection, then forks() into a child process which serves the connected machine and kills itself after the job is done, while the parent continues to listen. It works well except one little problem.
Even after the child process has died, it leaves a process with 0 resource usage, but still an entry in the list with a "<defunct>" after it, a little bit of searching told me that it was a "zombie process".
I learned i can kill zombie processes by using the wait() system call but that would halt the execution of the parent process until the child is finished doing its job. Is there any way i can make the parent and children do their own separate things.

Try to keep it simple, i am only a hobbyist, and not a professional in this field

I forgot my Flash Drive (FD) connected to a computer in my universty's comp. lab. yesterday. But I didn't notice until today, since my computing class is the last one (8 - 9 pm), so, someone from the morning shift must have taken it.

I really need it back, and this my plan to retrieve it:

> Uninstall FD from all comp. lab.'s PCs.
> Make a .exe to install in comp. lab. that detects specifically FD (through its id or something) and sends me an e-mail or similar. (Running in the background).
> Catch the piece of shit that took it.

And this is where I ask your help, your suggestions, your judgements (because I'm stupid). I only know a bit of VB programming, and I don't think I'd be able to do the program to its full extent.

Do you have any ideas /g/?
