Why do so many people on /g/ pretend linux is anything more than a toy for autistic people?

yup. but the name fits.
>>58877150
as someone who designed bridges before, that thing is intimidating.
I've been trying to crack a password on a win10 desktop, was working with Kali using chntpw in the terminal. It kept giving an error about the win10 boot being stuck in hibernation mode, however, I've done a proper shutdown of the system multiple times, and even went so far as to let it idle on the login screen for about 30 minutes before cutting the power, which should theoretically prevent any hibernation from occuring.
Any ideas? My next attempt will be using ophcrack to bruteforce the SAM and then decode the hash, but I'm hoping for something a bit faster than that.

Use Google next time kiddo. Windows use something called fast boot, and you can only disable it with an admin account.
did I goof /g?
Yes.
>>58877048
yeah
>>58877048
Without a doubt.
Do you fill your resume up with random tech related shit? Like which os's you can install and your hobbies (i.e. building rigs etc)?

If you are this retarded, you do not even deserve welfare.

You've got bugs in your screen burrowing through the LCD. Don't put the phone to your ear or they might infect you.
Will the AMD Ryzen actually be a good match for the GTX 1070/1080?
Is it worth waiting to pick one up to save a few bucks instead of high end i7?

Anyone working on any patches for it?
has anyone done anything remotely interesting in these threads ever
I always see them up but I never looked inside
is it just some autist making the thread over and over again even though no one is smart enough to post in it

>6ms response time
As long as you dont mind not gaming.
>>58876627
6ms is fine for gaming unless you're playing for an actual tier 1 or 2 E-sports teams.
Seriously, any random motherfucker who plays counter strike or DOTA thinks 1-2ms response time vs 6-8ms is make or break, but unless you're already at PEAK performance, you'll be hard pressed to notice it at all.
I have the Asus version of that panel, 6ms is just fine for gaming, back in 2007 I had a dell ultrasharp IPS that had 15ms response time and even it was OK for counter strike.
Anyone telling you 6ms is literally unplayable is believing some bullshit marketing, or they're 15 and retarded.
I got mine about a year ago for $265 each.

the PB258Q? is there any difference between that one and the one i have pictured?
>The Ryzen 7 1700, which has a TDP of 65 watts and boost clock speed of 3.7Ghz, costs just $317 - around 70 percent cheaper than Intel’s chip, which has the same clock speed and a TDP of 140W.
The 3.4Ghz Base/3.8Ghz Boost Ryzen 7 1700X, meanwhile, has a TDP of 95 watts and costs $382. AMD’s flagship 3.6Ghz/4.0Ghz 1800X flagship chip costs $490.
So what do we think?
>>58876396
I wanna see some benchmarks
380 dollars for a CPU? Not even intel's i7 cost that much
>>58876396
It's about 50% weaker too. We know what AMD's feeble little cores are like.
>>58876412
Are you retarded?
>>58876396
I can believe the price, the performance, but not that TDP.
