best buy employee here
the demo units are an asus prebuilt unit that is the minimum Oculus spec
the best buy demos ran fine at first, but they sit in a closed box with no ventilation. I'd imagine they're slowly cooking the things running all day

lol more like VR just doesnt sell

Normies probably don't know VR exists...
Archniggers with crap laptops on suicide watch
literally no one runs that shit. it's the common lazy distro. "I'm too lazy to make a distro, I'll pretend "I give the power to the user" and let them do everything themsevles".
FUCKING SURPRISED they can't be arsed to even support the most popular ****ARCH****S (pun fucking intended).
>The [multilib] repository will not be affected by this change.
So it's fucking nothing?

Owned a Surface Pro 2 and really wanted to like it but it's hands down the worst piece of garbage computer I've ever owned. Worse than the HP craptop I bought for $500 in 2007. The problem isn't in the idea or anything, but the execution was just awful and even though Microsoft apparently controls every part of the stack it managed to have terrible issues with the keyboard, touchpad and screen. It also took 30+ seconds to respond to pressing the power button when in sleep mode. Because of that piece of shit, I'm not gonna fall for the Microsoft hardware meme again.
are we, dare i say it, living in a simulation lads ?
It's worse than that. According to the quantum principle of indeterminacy, WE KNOW that our molecules are in a constant state of flux and pure, raw instability. Therefore we die and reassemble every single moment.

Why aren't you running LineageOS, /g/?
>>58869375
I am running it on my Nexus 4 (:
There is no reason to run pajeet OS over stock firmware if you still receive security updates
Installed it on the trashphone I use at work (Galaxy S2) , works fine, smoother than the old rom I used, still only CM12.1 on my note 3
Which tech companies will likely go bankrupt in the next 8 years?

>you don't need more than 16GB RAM on PC
>you don't need more than 16GB storage on mobile
Is 16 GB the optimal value for technology
DON'T FALL FOR THE 16GiB RAM MEME
>>58869040
32GB RAM, not enough. With a few VMs, a webbrowser with a shitload of tabs and an IDE, things get tight.
64GB on my OP3, not enough. I'm using more than half, and I haven't even had it for that long.
I have twelve gibbidies from over six years ago.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
----
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

Is it true the low voltage cpu of the x240 matches the x230's in performance or is a chinaman trying to trick me again?
>>58868376
x230's i5 3320m still scores higher than the skylake 6200u but the integrated graphics on skylakes beats the hd 4000

Why do the jobless monolingual white retards make fun of (and buy all of their stuff from) the hard-working chinese entrepreneurs? I don't get the joke
What's the scariest, most invasive thing the NSA could do to you? I'm asking for a friend who works at a computer repair shop and is obsessed with Alex Jones & Trump. This type of stuff gives me the heebie jeebies.
Could or does?
Because everything they 'could' do, they are currently doing.
They're storing everything you do online and are keeping it forever.
That's about it, really.
>>58866453
The NSA is trying to build a complete database of everyone's identity, friends and associates, interests, political views, and daily habits. Said database includes every website you visit, every web search, every email or text message sent and received, every phone call, and a complete record of your location updated in real time. All this stuff has full metadata, timestamps, etc.
If you're a Trump supporter, imagine what a Clinton administration could have done with that. If you're not, imagine what the Trump administration is doing with it. Either way you should be scared out of your mind.
>>58866615
>If you're not, imagine what the Trump administration is doing with it.
Like what?
Which Linux Distro has:
>drag and drop file moving
>software support on ubuntu/arch level
>stability
>full driver support without having to compile your own drivers from sourcecode
>ricability
>actual marketshare in the linux segment so devs actually give a shit about it
>leightweightness
>a nice package manager with good support
>fast boot times like win10
???
>>58866329
none
>>58866329
Ubuntu checks all the boxes except lightweight. Which, unless youre running on a potato or livecd, should not be an issue.
>>58866348
How's the package manager in ubuntu now? The old one in 12.04/14.04 was slow and froze all the time
Anyone look at C code and ask "WTF am I looking at"?
It only happens with C code for some reason. Am I just retarded or did C rape my mom and made me watch as a kid.
Yes. I don't know anything about programming so it's really confusing to me.
Borzoo can be tricky at times. Dont worry too much. Ask on piazza man.
>>58864555
well for one if you've never worked with threads then yeah you're doing to be confused
What's his endgame?
Crashing this plane with no survivors
>create the most secure OS
>convince the CIA to use it
>subvert their security by implementing a backdoor
>kill all cia niggers
Making the CIA surrender to the IRA.
