Can one tell me what model the laptop in the background is?
It's a nigbook 1105
Looks like it's running the game at 800x600, why would you want something that shitty?
>>60605647
Its not an existing laptop. It's a model that looks like it fits with the xbox one s stylistically.
Can I get a non-meme opinion on these tablet-laptop hybrids? They certainly seem ideal for portability and versatility.
>>60605086
Great for portability, but limited in power. Generally pretty good battery life but you're better off with a 13" MBP if you need to do much more than edit documents and send emails. Don't cheap out on them, but don't go over the top because they can't do a lot. Wanted to get one for classes but too heavy of a workload between compiling so much shit and virtualisation
I bought a surface 3 for note taking in my classes. Absolutely love it. When it works. The pen drivers and OneNote are full of bugs that make it really hard to give it a good review. But when it works, it's amazing. I haven't attempted to do any "work" on it so I can't comment on that.

>Generally pretty good battery life
If you can call 4 hrs of heavy use good battery life.
>>60604937
Thanks
I recently switched to it, actually.
i love it, i esecially love the telegram/whatsapp/facebook messenger taskbar thing on the left. It's so goddamn useful.
My only complaint is a problem i've ALWAYS had with fucking opera, and that' the control+tab switching thing which is weird, slow and uncontrollable. sometimes it switches to the tab to the left, sometimes to the right. I juts want it to fucking cycle always to the left, and quickly. like every single other browser.
The perfect case doesn't exi..

>People still imply that the year of the Linux desktop hasn't came yet
-Linux Kernel
-Fast, Simple, Secure
-Popular amongst normies
-Can be fully debotnetted (ChromiumOS)
ChromeOS is the best thing to happen to the Linux desktop. With a little bit of a push from developers it can kill both Mac and Windows.

Is the desktop pc being phased out? I mean to me it seems like it's no longer viewed in the public eye as something necessary as smartphones seemed to cause that, but are they altogether no longer needed besides enthusiasts?
>>60603210
Yes, this has been happening for almost a decade now.
>>60603228
Yea I guess you're right. It only just kinda recently dawned on me.
>>60603210
Yes. People only wanted desktops because it was the only way for a long time to use anything on the internet. With the rise of portable devices, desktops are left for enthusiasts and specialized tasks.
PCs generally have been in decline, as more and more people get all of their personal computing needs from smartphones and tablets.
