the thing with thrifting is that its not a one-and-done activity. If you genuinely want to find some good stuff you need to thrift frequently -- some days you'll find stuff, some day you won't. I can't really think of anything that will make you thrift 'smarter' other than to just visit multiple shops often

I live in a small country town so there's not really much of a demand or shift, nor is it easy to find anything decent.
I find myself more often going for accessories like socks and hats and even trinkets more than actually browsing the clothing sections and taking a chance on things because they tend to be more expensive. I just want to know how to become more confident with my clothing choices.
