>nuPixar

what even happened
is it brave's fault
It's already up on Amazon!
Brand new show, it's cute.
Watched the first episode and even as someone who was anticipating it I'm impressed with the show, I was worried the writing would be too "kiddy" but it's definitely aiming for a Cartoon Network TV-PG sort of thing and the tone is surprisingly chaotic and dark. The show has a sense of anarchy to it (like a lot of the most revered kids' programs, for a very old and obscure Brit-specific example: Tiswas) but also has a definite cute factor and nice moments of heart.
It's also animated traditionally (and excellently) and has some visually imaginative stuff already.
>>93544404
I forgot to mention it's quite funny too, filled with quick verbal jokes and wit. A lot of kids shows don't really try for those and just settle for "amusing occurances" but this has a lot of dialogue to chuckle at.
Bleeding Cool is a tabloid.
Rich Johnston makes shit up.
not a cartoon/comic
nobody cares
And yet he still manages to be right fairly often. Everyone else just copies and pastes press releases so he's the best we've got.
>>93542856
Define fairly often. Cause, he is more wrong than right. Please, put a percentage on it though. So we can see how you define someone who is usually wrong is 'right fairly often'.
Picture this scenario. A super hero group in decline because the new batch of heroes have brought more harm to the city than good and don't do any real hero work. So a bunch of pranksters have had enough of them and decided to troll them. Their little prank however turned said hero team into all out villains and they start terrorizing the town looking for the trolls.
Would you read it?
>>93542717
No.
>>93542717
Only if it ends with your bloody demise.
>>93542717
Jughead likes pissing his pants while spreading libel? That boy ain't right I'll tell you hwhat.

>>93542699
The thing is that is a solid model as long as the story you are telling is still really good. Fans hated Beta Ray Bill when he was first introduced but it sold like fucking hot cakes because it was so good they had to keep reading.
Prove me wrong /co/.
Harvey Beaks
You forgot Spongebob up to and including the first movie as well as Angry Beavers, the first few seasons of Rugrats and lets say, Ahh Real Monsters.
>>93542527
Take the nostalgia goggles off. I used to love this show when I was young but when I rewatched it I found it boring af. Same thing with Angry Beavers
Are the people here who like the MCU even well versed in Marvel comics?
no only DC
I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I know somethings, why do you ask?
I am to a point. Eventually reading Marvel comics becomes a chore because of the shit quality and watching a new film every few months is a lot more enjoyable.
I know that Earth-3 was destroyed, but is there a single person on here that wouldn't be at least intrigued by a monthly that explores the times and adventures of the Crime Syndicate?
Injustice?
Yes, but only if it's NOT Johns' Crime Syndicate.
>>93542429
The Anti-Matter Syndicate is better and hell yes I would read the shit out of their book.
So what was up with Velma and Fred fucking off for a couple of decades, but Daphne stuck around with Shaggy and Scoob?
It was the weirdest thing. Of all the characters, Velma would have made more sense.
>>93542371
I remember not even registering as a kid that that was supposed to be Daphne. I seriously thought it was a new character like Flim Flam and Scrappy.
Whatever they said in Zombie Island.
MCU synergy has gone too far
>got Bendis Defenders #1 as a gift
>Daredevil's identity is a secret again

>>93542221
actually it erased foggy's memories too but matt revealed himself to foggy

>>his identity became secret again after being allowed to use a machine that erased everyone but Foggy's memories
Not as stupid as Peter Parker selling his marriage to the devil.
Fuck Opal.
>>93542202
i would if i could.
I heard that this was the best of the new 52. When does it get good? 5 issues in and it's just shoddy art, boring villains, and annoying family members.
>>93542113
>damn...
Ugh
>DUDE FAMILY ROAD TRIP FOR A DOZEN ISSUES LMAO
Terrible. The so called body horror stuff was mild at best too.
>travel foreman
terrible
So now begins the awkward, autistic three-way relationship which we all know is now inevitable.
AND THEN THEY FUCKED
The only character i like is the brown girl. The rest of the idiots can fuck right off.

DERPEST LORE.
Now that we're done with the first arc of Gerard Way's Doom Patrol, does anyone else find it disappointing? It just seems like a rehash of old runs so far and just like Pollack's run, seems to be going for Morrison's weirdness instead of the humanity and ideas that made his run so great. It's also inferior to his Umbrella Academy, which seemed to be a proper follow up to Morrison's ideas. I hope he hits his stride in the next arc now that the team has been assembled.
>>93541210
The whole imprint is meh-tier except Cave Carson which is fucking top tier.
I went into it without having read any DP before, and it's probably my fave current ongoing. I've since dived into the new reprints of the Morrison stuff and it's only enriching my appreciation of the YA run
It's okay, but yeah, as weird as Morrison's run got, it still had a cohesive story and memorable villains. This doesn't. I'll probably end up ranking it as the 4th best DP run behind Giffen's.
A /co/ character you like gets an ice cream based on them.
What's it like? Alternatively, what would you want it to be like?
Also, what's your favorite kind of ice cream?
I don't really have any ideas, but Coldstone had a WW movie promotion.
>Wonder Woman Berry Bold™
>Dark Chocolate Triple Berry Ice Cream with Chocolate Shavings, Raspberries & Gold Glitter
Green tea ice cream with chili infused chocolate swirls, chopped pistachios and red velvet cake pieces.
