This anon is right. Crockpot is the way to go. Other than that, make stuff in large batches that you can eat for several days. Soups, stews, roasts, casseroles, and protein "salads" (ham salad, egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad) for sandwiches.

Cold light beer tastes good when it's really hot outside. I like stronger flavored beers to go with meals but when you've just come in from 95F weather and are sweating and don't feel great having a really cold light beer helps a lot.

When I was young, my mom baked these cookies one time and it was soft and incredible.
Every time we tried to bake cookies since then they came out hard and not that good.

Shorter baking time. Depending on the size of the cookie you want to bake them for about 10-15 minutes at 350F. And they'll stay softer if they spread out less so refrigerate the cookie dough until it's cold before baking.

What's the best "crust" to use for lazy mini pizzas? I always use english muffins, but I've heard things like flour tortillas and pita bread are also good.

The best "bar food" mini pizza is with a flour tortilla, but the cooking method is important.

Start by getting a cast iron pan very hot on the stove, put a bit of oil in there, then put your tortilla down. It should immediately begin to sizzle. Quickly add your sauce (very little), cheese, and toppings. Make sure to get the cheese to the edge so it forms a crust there, too. Finish in oven under broiler. You'll get an insanely crispy cracker-thin crust.
