While the company’s non-profit arms scaled back support for some of the groups that actively push an anti-gay agenda, the Chick-fil-A Foundation’s most recent IRS filings show it gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to anti-LGBTQ organizations in 2015. Though its website’s FAQ claims the foundation “is focused on helping every child become all they were created to be,” its donations went to groups that do not believe this includes LGBTQ youth.
For example, the Chick-fil-A Foundation gave more than $1 million in 2015 (nearly one-sixth of its total grants) to the the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The religious organization, which seeks to utilize athletes and coaches to spread Christian teachings, imparts a strongly anti-LGBTQ message. Staff and volunteers with the organization have been required to adhere to a strict “sexual purity” policy, prohibiting any “homosexual acts,” even for married couples. The group takes the view that, “The Bible is clear in teaching on sexual sin including sex outside of marriage and homosexual acts. Neither heterosexual sex outside of marriage nor any homosexual act constitute an alternative lifestyle acceptable to God.”
The foundation also gave more than $200,000 to the Paul Anderson Youth Home, a Georgia-based “transformative organization” that operates a “Christian residential home for troubled youth.” Focusing on boys, their teachings include the idea that the “sexual, physical, and mental abuse of children, mostly in the alleged ‘safety’ of their own homes has produced all kinds of evil throughout the culture to include the explosion of homosexuality in the last century.” The myth that people are LGBTQ due to abuse is a claim frequently made by anti-LGBTQ organizations to promote harmful “ex-gay” therapy.

Everything.
Is this purely a meme or should I shell out actual quiche for this?
Before I answer your question, I'd like to know where I can trade quiche for cookbooks
>>9305561
It is a pretty autistically written cookbook, and very useful for reference and inspiration, although not worth the money. Pdf scans exist for a reason. Get the el bulli scan while yr at it
>>9305561
I think it's well worth the money. The information it contains on just about any cooking situation is god-tier. It's well organized and all in one place. I learned a fuckload from reading it. Compared to what I spent on college textbooks the value for money is far far superior.
But that depends on if you are going to learn from it and/or keep it around for reference. If you're just going to look at the pretty pictures or want to use it as a "list of recipes" then I doubt it will be worth your money.

Is there anything you can do with plain yogurt besides using in in place of heavy cream?
>>9305488
I like chopped fruit with yoghurt for breakfast with honey and a bit of pollen sprinkled over.
Other than that it is a lower fat replacement for heavy cream like you said, works well to reduce fat in curries whilst giving it a creamy (and tangy flavour if using natural greek yoghurt).
>>9305488
You can drizzle some honey on it for dessert. You can make tzatziki or riata with it. There are also several yogurt curries you can make.
>>9305488
dip potato chips into it
dip for various vegetables would be good as well I think
Do you guys see food as a means to an end or as one of life's little treasures?
Likewise, do you see cooking as a necessary labor, or as a craft to be enjoyed?
My view on food will forever be warped by the fact that I'm sexually aroused by girls eating.
>>9305471
The answer is both to both questions.
Obviously human beings need food to survive. But when the opportunity presents itself it can be an amazing experience. Likewise cooking is necessary labor to keep oneself properly fed, but for many people it can be a craft to enjoy. I enjoy cooking because it's radically different from my job so it's a nice way to unwind after a workday and get my mind on something totally different.
>>9305471
It's a necessity to eat to survive and maintain health. That's it. Anyone who considers it more than that is a degenerate.
Guys, I eat meat all the time.
I wanna eat at lot more stuff like salad from now on but how and where do I start? What are some quick recipes?

Why the fuck am I so fucking bad at making Alfredo sauce, I'm a decent chef and can make most pasta dishes with ease but fucking Alfredo every. fucking. time. Something has to go wrong, I follow the exact recipe instructions and it still goes wrong every fucking time, it normally ends up as a parmigiano mac and cheese and nothing near the flavor or consistency of alfredo, How am I this fucking g awful at makiNguyen something this fucking simple please fucking help. like look at this fucking beautiful but simple pasta dish. but I still can't fucking get alfredo
>cant even turn a picture
youre not a very talented guy after all I guess
Alfredo is dead simple to make. most restaurants make it to order because it's quick and easy.
get a couple tablespoons of butter melted and add some garlic if thats your style. if it is. cook it on med to med-low heat for a minute or two
before it browns add like 6 oz of heavy cream or half and half. if you use half and half, you'll want to boil it some to evaporate some of the liquid. add some white or black pepper and add like two tablespoons of parm or parm/ramano blend. stir to fully incorporate it. and it's done.
if your using heavy cream add the cheese when it starts to simmer.
don't add to much cheese
I like mine mixed with red sauce. it makes the best chicken parms and meatball subs and chicken parm sandwiches
>>9305086
How are we supposed to help you if you don't describe your procedure or tell us specifically what the problem is?
Here's how I make it:
-equal parts butter and heavy cream in a saucepan. Simmer for a little while until some of the moisture is cooked out and it thickens a bit.
-Whisk in grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese. Accept no substitutes; imitation "parmesan flavored food product" will not work.
-Season to taste with a little nutmeg and lots of black pepper. You will probably not need to add any salt since the cheese is already salty.
And that's it. Super simple.
I'm at Taco Bell buying one of these bad boys right now. What can I expect /ck/?

>infinitely better to cook on than a gas grill
What possible advantages do gas grills have? More expensive, worse taste, terrible for smoking.
They're easier and faster. Doesn't sell me on them though.

marginal time/convenience gain on getting the grill hot and ready.

Why not take a drug that directly implants a feeling of shame to your frontal lobe
>>9303728
Because shame isn't directly mediated by frontal lobe structures. Most probably the signal originates from the lateral hebbenulae and the amygdalae. From there the cortical areas most probably activated are the insula and the associated claustral regions.
