red burns on pan, wth, is it ok to cook on this
Sure.
Can't tell if patina or just gunk though.
>overheating your ss pan
You have poisonous oxygen compounds built into your pan now.

That's a bad pic but dont they get blue when overheated?
Coffee/Caufee Thread
Been thinking about venturing into making much more richer/better coffee. Don't know where to start though
I know French Presses are cheap as well Espresso machines (though I don't think I should be getting those that cheap). Any tips?
Don't forget a coffee grinder. Manual grinders are quaint but for the best flavor and ground consistency, buy electric.
Yeah and the French press, you're set mang.
i drink this great coffee called tea, its lovely
>>8724412
I like tea too.
Let's be real here though, a good coffee actually takes some time and work to make as opposed to tea.
Favorite food thread.
For me it's the McChicken

It's Thursday. Teusday isn't even a real day.
I cant cook. Everytime I try, it comes out bland. I cant stand it anymore. Any tips for a complete moron such as myself? What are the most basic recipes I should start with, any advice, stories of past failures?
What do you like to eat?
There's probably some easy recipes anons could recommend.
>>8723412
Fried rice is pretty good, and pretty easy too. Try making summa dat.
>>8723412
Use salt retard.

>>8722217
there's a few webms someone might have
onion.webm
>>8722248
How do people even find webms? I never see them anywhere but 4chan.
I'm the graveyard shift attendant at a gas station convenience store. One of those 7/11 or AMPM kinda places. I cook the food, make the coffee, all that stuff.
Ask me anything
>>8718520
What food do you cook? The hotdogs, nacho cheese, and chili? Does your convenience store also have those shitty hamburgers and sandwiches? Is it pretty gross how these things are preserved and prepared? What are the best and worst thinks that require you to make them? I've always like the jalepeno/cheddar sausages.
>>8718520
What are your craziest customer stories?
How many times have you gotten robbed? At what grade were you identified as a special needs kid?
So which one is right?
>>8717922
Both can be boiled down to the basic fact:
If you consume more calories than you burn then you will gain weight.

Morgan Sperglok is a faggot like every other documentary filmmaker.
The premise of Super Size Me (if you eat like I'm shown eating, it'll fuck you up) is unassailable.
>well you know if you only eat 2,000 calories of processed garbage a day and like don't eat the sesame bun or something it's not bad for you
>try keto the bread lobby is evil
Fat Head felt like a long rant that went in a few directions and doesn't speak to a lot of what it thinks it speaks to.
Maybe I'm just a fucking retard. This is the second fucking time that I've gone online and tried to follow a fucking recipe for something that looked good. Looked good. Until I fucking cooked it, pic related.
It tastes like raw fucking spaghetti and then there's also bacon in it. None of these fucking flavors work together. A fucking POUND of spaghetti and they tell you "oh just toss it with the bacon and cheese and eggs". The only fucking pan I had that's big enough is this big shit 12" frying pan and even then it was fucking spilling out because there's too much fucking spaghetti.
This tastes like shit, I just wasted a fucking hour and a half preparing this, and now I have about $12 of food that tastes like shit sitting in a fucking pan on my counter
Who the fuck writes these recipes? Do they not fucking test them? Fucking WHAT BENEFIT COULD SOMEONE GAIN from posting a fucking fake shit recipe? What the fuck good does that do?
Fuck this fucking cooking thing
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/11973/spaghetti-carbonara-ii/
>>8720364
I don't even want to fucking eat it. All I want to do is eat a fucking bowl of the shitty off-brand captain crunch I have and drink a fucking glass of milk and go the fuck to bed
why the fuck do people post shitty recipes online when they fucking clearly haven't tested them, ever? why does that happen, /ck/?
>>8720364
>Maybe I'm just a fucking retard
most likely
>>8720373
But I followed the fucking directions EXACTLY. The only thing I left out was the parsley, and that's literally just for decoration.
Two fucking THOUSAND people gave this bullshit a thumbs up on that website, what the FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS BULLSHIT
what pan should I buy?
What are you going to do with it?
>>8713806
You wanna be a little more specific, buddy? Clarify what exactly you want in terms of functionality and purpose in terms of what you're trying to fry.

Just got a whole box of tomatoes, what do? I know I can make pasta sauce but what else? It's like 10 pounds of tomatoes...

Throw some at the local stockade criminals
>mom threw away my barbecue shoes
Quality thread, dumb frogposter.
barbecue barefoot like a real man
>>8725510
I'll bite, what are barbecue shoes?
So, /ck/ how do you feel about delivery box meal services things like Hello Fresh or Plated? It's really given me confidence to cook because they are easy recipes and they send you everything you need for the recipe. For me, I'm not the best shopper or the best with food inspiration so it really helps me out. I get 6/7 nights of the week a dinner delivered to the door.
I want to stop once I feel totally confident but these are great for introducing people to cooking imo. What do you guys think
For me cooking also is experimenting with food and modifying recpies. You cant do theese thing, if you only have a certain selection of food.
Boy, I sure do love paying 5x the cost of my food for no reason
>>8725492
I know that hello fresh isnt the best in terms of produce quality or freshness (I know that here in norcal they ship their shit from la, why tf?)
OP if you're enjoying making the recipes and feel like you're getting better, just keep at it until you want to start shopping for yourself and experimenting with tweaking recipes creatively
See if there are similar smaller scale services local to you, like CSA boxes at farms that give you a shitload of different veg that you can find recipes for
Do /ck/ like garfish?
I had them quite often as a kid, when dad worked evenings, mom used to make those for us kids. Not sure how she did, but they were awesome, and the blue bones were fun to look at.
I havent had them since, I should.
>>8725401
