>Bryan is actually okay to wrestle
>This is a long read, but Im gonna recap all the information he gave regarding his injury and how he was made to retire. This can all be found by listening to his interview today with Edge and Christian on their podcast.
>So his story starts with the time of his last concussion. He gets cleared by his own doctors, but that isn't enough for WWE.
>So first WWE and Vince in particular force him to see their hand picked experts to get testing done on his brain. So they sent him to these doctors (that aren't his own doctors which already cleared him), first of which was a concussion specialist in Phoenix. They cleared him.
>That wasn't enough for WWE, and he asked WWE what more they want him to do. He said he would go get a 3rd opinion. So he went to UCLA to get testing from a team of concussion specialists who had him run a lot of different tests. They cleared him.
>He comes back to WWE, and yet again they say no you are not cleared to go, even though 3 independent institutions had already cleared him, 2 of which were doctors WWE chose.
>So they send him to go get some experimental stuff done. Testing that isn't even FDA approved. They do some kind of reflex or impact testing, so they hook stuff up to his brain and test that and whatever. So he does that, and they tell him he has a lesion in a certain region on his brain. So he calls Vince, and he tells him he has this lesion on his brain. He says he was crying when he got off the phone because his career was done. And the next week Vince calls him and tells him to come to RAW in Seattle and give a retirement speech. Initially he didn't want to do it but he became convinced it was for the best.
>>3030441
>Then after everything dies down, he gets a call from one of the doctors who originally cleared him and he asks him what happened that made him retire. He tells the doctor that they found a lesion on his brain. And then the doctor tells him that in medical terminology, a lesion does not mean what it usually means. Bryan thought it meant he had a cut on his brain, but the doctor says that in medical terminology, a lesion is a very vague term. It just means that something is there. Not necessarily a cut or anything like that.
>Then that doctor looks at the report that said he had a lesion. And what he found was that Daniel's brain reflexes in that region were slower than they expected. Thats why in the report they wrote it in as a lesion.
>Now here is the really messed up part. That region of his brain had a slow reflex compared to MMA fighters and football players and athletes that they usually test at that facility. It did NOT have any reflex that is slower than what you would expect in a normal human being. And since Bryan is a performer and not really a sports person, obviously you would expect his reflex time to be closer to an average persons, not a high level sports athlete.
>In addition to that, they didnt have a baseline for how fast the reflex in that part of his brain used to be. So they had no way of even knowing if there was actually any damage there, or if that was just the normal speed at which that region of his brain functioned.
>>3030442
>He went to this Joe Namath institute to get more tests done and they said his brain is no different from a run of the mill college football player. He has had some concussions, but he is not a person at risk of brain damage.
>He has had even more testing done and from certain tests they say that now, with the time he has had out of wrestling, and with continued work and treatment, his brain could look like someone who has never even played a contact sports. And he says he is sad looking back because he feels he wasted the prime years of his career.
tldr; Vince did everything he could to trick Bryan to retire
>"I had a conversation with Vince. Actually, I don’t know when it was. I don’t know if it was before WrestleMania 30 or if it was after WrestleMania 30, but it went something along the lines of this. It’s like he said something along the lines to me of, ‘we really want to push Roman to be the next John Cena.’ And I had said to him, ‘boss, I 100% support that, but I just want you to know that I want to be the next John Cena.’ Like, don’t tell me he wants some other guy to be the next John Cena!”

>Almas vs Gargano - 3.25
Very boring start to the match but it picks up later on. The ending was generic and predictable but using a DIY shirt was a nice enough touch to male it forgivable. Gargano needed to change his game up more to stand out as a solo competitor, him doing mostly the same shit really gives off the feeling that he's a placeholder wrestler stuck in limbo until Ciampa comes back. Either that or he's the new Tye Dillinger and is about to lose to every heel. This match is the best Almas has looked since arriving at NXT.
>Black vs Itami - 2.5
Black is okay, but he should be better. Itami is shit, but he could be better. The babby's first rock intro was terrible. The absolutely no-heat for Itami was uncomfortable. Shit match mad watchable by the occasional stiff strike.
>Aop vs Sanity - 3.75
I still don't like Wolfe. Retard stomps his feet in the middle of the ring while spinning his arms and pretending to be a helicopter. Everyone else in the team looks and acts like daffy murderers but Wolfe looks like a special needs child they abducted and made their mascot. Young tagging in instead of Dain made no strategic sense considering it sacrifices their size advantage. Thicki Cross was amazing tonight. Young was great. Wolfe was okay enough. AoP looked fantastic out there. They have the look and they have the power to make it far in this company. I hope all of the shitters who say that they ruined the tag division eat shit and die from infection.
Le dragon guys stayed in the ring running through all of their big offensive moves and not a single one of their moves got over. The one on the left kind of looked pissed after their "two-man GTS" didn't pop the crowd.

>Asuka vs Moon - 3.5
Good. The right woman won. Asuka was done with Ember Moon as soon as she beat her ass on a throwaway NXT long before their previous Takeover match. Why they insist on pushing this feud instead of Cross vs Asuka is beyond me, especially since they clearly don't even see Ember as being the next top chick anyway. Then the camera stayed on Ember after the match like they were expecting "thank you Ember" chants that never came and would have been unearned had they came.
>Mctired vs Poo - 3.25
These guys sure did beat the shit out of each other, nothing wrong with that. Just a bit boring is all. I say that as a fairly big fan of Roode's previous title matches. I like his long hard-hitting joint-working style, but Drew never once felt like a main event star that could match Roode's ring presence. Nothing that happened felt like a main event either, it's a real shame to see Roode's reign go out on such a hohum note. Is Drew the grossest looking NXT champ ever? Sources say yes.
Adam Cole is pretty good, not nearly as good as the hype suggests. People who don't actually watch indishit but pay attention to the top indie names will probably be greatly disappointed. The fact that a new signee is once again being immediately thrust into a main event feud is a total embrace of NXT's biggest flaws. Though I know for a fact Strong is gonna job to this guy very soon and that puts a big ol' smile on my face.
