Before, Asuka's dominance had an asterisk next to it, because she beat Ember due to cheating and avoiding her all-powerful finisher. She still tried to cheat, but survived the finisher and countered that into a submission win to re-assert her dominance and remove all doubts on whether she's better than Ember or not.

It legitimized the dominance of Asuka. Nobody in NXT has anything over her. Not a damn thing. And that is going to make her look all the more imposing when she challenges the main roster.
