I recently took in a stray cat who was likely a TNR at some point. I know that typically means a cat is feral but this guy has been super tame and friendly, so I suspect he might be a stray. He was very outgoing and persistent in getting my attention and almost constantly hangs around me.

It's all going so well, which makes me feel uneasy sometimes. I worry this cat might have rabies or something, because I can't believe an animal could appreciate or trust me so quickly without some neurological problems. I haven't been able to take him to a vet yet and we've only been together 2 days. Am I just being paranoid?

Work at a shelter. We hear this kind of story all the time with strays that get brought in - many of them are extremely sweet and get picked up because they walk right up to people. Don't be paranoid.

One of the most fun things I've had in a long time. They have the 2.0, fixed some... bugs... with the first one. I got the Lawn & Garden edition and the fucker has enough armor pen to btfo cockroaches, and took out a yellow jacket as well. Best 50 bucks I ever spent.

Penguins' closest relatives are albatrosses.

Falcons' closest relatives are parrots and songbirds. (They're relatively distant from hawks and eagles.)

Pigeons are rather close to flamingos.

Chickens and ducks are the most basal modern birds (everything except ostriches and tinamous); their direct ancestors coexisted with their famous NAKED relatives.

Also, hippos are related to whales

im freaking out. my cat is an indoor cat but I take him on walks everyday on a leash. A few mins ago he was cuddling with me and I felt something in his fur, which turned out to be a tick. It was tiny, I didn't even know it was a tick until I googled one that wasn't bloated, but it was attached to his skin and impossible to pull out. In the panic trying to follow removal instructions I think I killed it, which I read is BAD as it can vomit its guts into him. I can't remove its body, it's attached too well. Vet doesn't open until 6 hours from now, there are no emergency services and I don't know shit about ticks. Is my cat gonna make it?

its not bait. i am genuinely concerned. i come from a city but i moved to the norwegian country side and wasnt prepared for ticks. i read you can get deadly diseases from them. i caught it before it started bloating so maybe he will be ok?

more pics of him. he loves sniffing flowers and grass and nibbling on it. I'd hate having to stop walking him. What precautions do i need to take now that i know ticks are a thing?

How do dogs react to music? Will different kinds of music affect them in different ways?

noise isnt music and your dog would probably not like nearly any music blasting very loud,
>>
>>2403145
Start out quiet, he'll get used to this.

If you're old enough to take care of a dog you're old enough to grow up and stop listening to childish genres

>walk into my parent's bedroom
>my dog is on their bed furiously licking her cunt, again
>mfw
>does this at least once a day, only when nobody is in the bedroom
>when she's done, she comes out heavily panting, every single time

What the fuck does my dog mean by this?

And I'm asking because she's clearly isn't cleaning herself.
>>
>>2403033
