Anyone else feel like every time they go to sleep, or are consciously unaware from blacking out or being knocked unconscious they effectively die and wake up in a new reality that is essentially indistinguishable from the previous one. Essentially:

I don't even notice this when I go to sleep and wake up in a new reality, but I hit my head one summer while cliff jumping and I can remember sinking into the water unable to move and I had died. I'm not good at anything most people are. To be real, I'm not even into the same shit the general populace is. Everytime I discover anything intriguing or hip I'll find out I'm way late or got into it way sooner than anyone else, and by then I've moved on already. All of my time goes into working out and watching the clouds while listening to old cowboy music or MF Doom. The only thing I've ever done decent enough to be appreciated or accepted for was play guitar. But I don't want to play professionally. My lust for fame is dying and every year I lose more and more of the friends I have left. All I've got to lean on is my girl. And idk how long the relationship will last.
How do I get started in paranormal investigation? I've always had an avid interest in hauntings and demonology. If my social life is going to end soon I'd like the pleasure of getting acquaintanted with the afterlife.

Pic related is the only book to unnerve (and enthrall) me. It was the closest thing to a Silent Hill novel, and I loved it.
Also read John Dies at the End, and I bought the sequel book.
