Have you ever felt like you start to lose your grip on reality?
Parmenides belived that it's impossible to grasp the actual reality of the world because we are limited to what our brain can procces. Sometimes I feel like im fading away form reality, maybe i'm going crazy or maybe i'm perceiving something different altering my perception, anyone here know anythign about this?
>>17722091
I used to get that feel sometimes when I was playing p2w MMO and people were going into weird arguments about world bosses and dragging in someone's fb life and supposed webcam shows they had for the GM:s to get free gold.
Is this real or not? Do they think the game is real? Is it real life for them?
Some people taking time off from work to protect guild stuff etc..
Grip on reality is just a product of the ego; doesn't matter at all. I dare you to go all the way bro. Transcend even the void and you will SEE.

Nude nuns with guns!
Hi /x/. I am going through extensive planning for a Kickstarter I'm going to pitch soon. I just wanted your input. I am going to spend 30 days in a blank room with only a mattress and toilet/shower. I will have no sense of time. There will be nothing to entertain me. The room will be locked from the outside. There will be a single camera, the whole month will be live streamed to a site. I will have absolutely no contact with anyone from the outside. Someone will slide me a tray of food twice a day. The door will be locked from the outside. I will not be allowed to leave under ANY circumstances unless I am injured or become a harm to myself. There is a lot of planning going into this. Food bills, someone to constantly watch over me in case of emergency, psychiatric analysis afterwards, etc. What are your thoughts on my endeavor? Is this something people would be interested in?
>>17721749
Only a month? Bitch please
Op, if you eat twice a day, you can measure time. Randomise your meal schedule, i.e. daily frequency, intervals and even instruct your handlers to serve them after sleep to ruin your sense of routine. Also, lit or unlit confines for the duration?
That being said, unless you have more participants under the same conditions, the entire experiment is pointless, self-inflicted torture that would not qualify as reliable research.
>>17721749
What exactly are you trying to accomplish OP
What in the world happened to Lisanne Froon and Kris Kremers?
Two dumb bitches get lost, starve to death and then remains are ate by a passing animal. Simple.
they got lost in the wilderness and decided to travel in the dark instead of staying put and waiting till dawn.
You can tell from the pictures recovered from their camera that they used the flash to see where they were going. Many pictures contained images of the edge of a cliff.

Anyone here got a Sixth Sense when people look at you
Sometimes i just turn my head to the person that looks at me but i did it completly randomly without knowing they looked at me
>>17719442
making eye contact is normal in society you should definitely look at your surroundings more often
>>17719442
I feel like most people have this. It might just be coincidence though. I think when you look around, you will very quickly notice if someone is looking at you, but you won't look around BECAUSE someone is looking at you, ya dig?

Hello /x/, something has always bothered me, consider me a skeptic about much of this paranormal stuff as retards and trolls have made it nearly impossible to sift through the shit to find gold.
I ask you to explain what it is you believe and why you believe it and do you have anything concrete to provide to substantiate your beliefs.
I direct your attention to the image I posted. Do people believe this works, why do people believe it works? Why do people believe you can summon anything?
>>17717924
You are no skeptic, just an asshole.
Skeptics try to experience things they doubt firsthand.
>>17717950
I would like to experience this first hand but at the end of the day I don't believe it would happen. Why is me asking for something to substantiate claims makes me an asshole? Because I like some evidence to back things up?
>>17718151
Because you are asking at the wrong place, and you know it.
Say you drive a car. How does the internal combustion engine work? How does it make the car go? Why is the drivetrain important? Chances are, at the basic user level, you don't, unless you are a car junkie.
We are users, not the creators, you should contact your deity of preference to ask those kind of things. We may know how it works, making us engineers, and make guesses on WHY it works based on that, but we didn't make the underlying principle that runs behind it all to KNOW why it does.
What do you think happens after we died?
It'll be alot like before you were born.
Depends
No one knows
Whoever claims to is lying
I think reincarnation is most likely based on my research
>>17717768
Do you have any research available?

The human race has the unfortunate common shortcoming of tending to see things in overly simple, black-and-white ways. This tendency is exploited by TPTB in order to manipulate public opinion.
Step 1: create 'conspiracy theory' as a perjorative term, and imply anyone who believes in one is crazy. (note: the CIA invented the term. Google it.) Indoctrinate people heavily into a kneejerk 'conspiracy theory = crazy nonsense' mentality until it is deeply accepted by all of society.
Step 2: Kick back and relax, because people will silence each other for you. "9-11 was an inside job!" "You're just a crazy conspiracy theorist."
Step 3: If, somehow, a conspiracy theory you don't like starts gaining ground, it's time to reinforce how crazy 'conspiracy theories' are. Plant loads of shills everywhere insisting that a conspiracy theory that is obviously nonsense is true. "The earth is flat!" You want to heavily reinforce the connection between 'conspiracy theory' and 'automatically crazy' in the public mind.
Step 4: Job well done. All theories will be met once more with immediate automatic dismissal by the average non-critical-thinking mind. "You think JFK wasn't killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, and you think 9-11 was an inside job? Pff, you probably also think the earth is flat." (ie the last theory is obviously BS, so the first two must therefore be BS, too)

Welcome in Metal gear solid 2

It's more so met with such widespread disregard because the general following don't have much of a supportive argument. For the most part I've only encountered
>(conspiracy) is true, you're just too blind/a shill/bluepilled etc etc
>debunkers ignore the evidence
or my favourite
>debunkers are arrogant/always think they're right
it's impossible to have a decent fucking conversation with some of them. Some are even worse than SJWs
The Earth is not exactly flat but close.

Anyone have any encounters with isolated, inbred weirdos living in the wilderness? There have been documented cases:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_clan_incest_case
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goler_clan
Colt family photos:
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/revealed-for-the-first-time-colt-family-photo-album-offers-glimpse-of-life-inside-australias-incest-clan/news-story/9cf33841b0f1652dc3ee616d49f7040b
Similar rumoured phenomena:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melon_heads
In your area are there any rumours of these clans existing? I live in Canada and I bet somewhere here there's more undiscovered incest clans. Maybe up north or on native reserves.
Somewhat related, the Danbury Frog People
http://obscurban-legend.wikia.com/wiki/Danbury_Frog_People
I would actually love to live in some sort of very remote isolated community, just minus the incest of course. And probably the murder/rape of any hikers or anything like in the movies.
Just always liked the idea of a self contained working fort or something weird. Pretty impractical but fun to imagine.
Sorry I don't have anything more useful to add, but your links are very interesting and bump for more interest.

My father use to molest me and my older sister
Posted this in /mu/, but wanted to gain some alternate perspective as well.
Artists have always been interested in the mystical, especially when creating music based upon these concepts. Was this through application of theory or more occult means? Also, how could one best go about doing this?
Ever heard of recording motivational talks for yourself? Same concept, except music adds vibratory patterns to help reinforce the words, so it sticks longer in your conscious mind rather than moving to the subconscious while you're sleeping.
