Does /x/ recommend any introductory book to magic, in a purely theoretical and historical way ?
Is Eliphas Levi's "the History of Magic" any good ?

Fanger, Claire, ed, Invoking Angels: Theurgic ideas and practices, thirteenth to sixteenth centuries.
Quite good and essential for understanding the Western magical tradition.

Pertaining to reincarnation
Once you die, are you instantly (to you) born into another being?
If time isn't linear, can this being be in the past?
Could everyone on earth be a part of the same soul that had reincarnated into all people's lives at different points?
>>17726312
I've too wondered this. It's mind-boggling to picture everyone in the world being the exact same entity, on it's own journey. When two people disagree, it's just that the entity cannot yet fully accept the ideas of its future self. It's a very interesting concept, but I can't say I believe it.
>>17726312
1. I don't know.
2. Its possible.
3. Sure, if 2 is true.
You're welcome.
thats a terrifying thought to be honest. That means we cant leave until we have reincarnated as every single person that has ever lived on earth and your consent is not needed, you are sent down here no matter what, and its a multiple life sentences with no hope of ever being free.
hi /x/
i had a really weird and scary experience a few nights ago.
usually most nights i will wake up in the middle of the night and check my phone (time) or look at my digital alarm clock then fall back to sleep. not sure why but its just become a habit.
a few nights ago i woke up in the middle of night. i must have been half asleep or maybe just falling into sleep and i experienced what can only be known as sleep paralysis.
now that is not where it ends.
i legitimately felt like something "ran" into my room. i could not hear it but i could feel it. it felt unholy. whatever it was i felt it almost like "drift" or "jump" onto me and i could not breathe. i was not facing up, i was facing sideways. i then felt a cold chill in my ear like a deep voice in a language i cannot understand. i could not move for a whole minute. felt a lot longer.
i dont know what to think. sure, sleep paralysis is common enough but was that it? can someone legitimately help me?
i am mostly a nice, law-abiding guy. born catholic, now somewhat agnostic.
help me understand

Skinwalker stories please.
I am not impressed by most creepypastas as they are usually shit-sucking retarded or the writer is goi ng out of his way to tryhard and it's like putting a flashing neon sign up that reads "I pulled this turd right out of my own ass and polished it up real good".
But something about ski walkers and sasquatch and other creature stories is so captivating to me.
Can you guys give me some of the good ones, so I can sate the morbid fascination?
Yes please. All the corny roleplaying here gets old but skinwalker stories bring good old back fear of the unknown.
I heard if you can identify who the skinwalker is they will die.
Worked at a wal mart in NM.
Heard a story that during the night shift a skinwalker came into the store and was throwing stuff at people. The cameras caught the whole thing. My co worker says he watched the footage.
I don't purport to have any controllable abilitities, this is more of an affectual observation.
On occasion, but especailly while riding a bike, ive noticed a number of anomalies occure...
such as empty bottles falling off fences, mailbox lids opening, basketball hoops creaking. I usually ride around midnight when the moon is heavy and luminous, no wind, no other people around.
Last night had me genuinely taken aback,
I saw at first what I thought was a curled up cat in someones driveway, because it appeared to have been moving then made a sharp stop like it had just seen me....but then there was a faint shimmering static charge around it and the thing started oscilating; as I got closer I saw it was a red rubber ball... and as I passed there was a sound like it was being rapidly inflated then deflated and back again, kind of like a hollow stretching thump. then it stopped right after I passed.
Do you think my velocity in relation to the rest of my surroundings was distorting the fabric of space time?
anyone else have any stories like this?
This sort of thing happens to me. Randomly water will explode out of cups, bottles, or bowls. My wife and friends seem to just laugh at it. Like "oh alex is at it again."
>wind is cool
I've seen things move but I don't know if it was me or some other energy around
Kinda new to this.
so this is not really paranormal, but id rather here than try on /b/
so when i stare at things my vision gets fucky, and shit starts moving around, like if im looking at a pattern on a wall, flakes of the wall will start moving and switching places.
and also, like in the picture i edited, when i focus on a point for long enough time this happens.
but yeah i guess vision and auditory hallucination experience thread?
I can see at a microscopic level
Have you ingested any psychoactive substance?

nope, never have.
cant say im not interested in it though.
iv been like this since childhood.
Admit it /x/, You want Tim's jacket.
Here's a video discussing THAC canceling CL 44. I like this guy.
https://youtu.be/0z-sJdPZCXc
They should have never made that video where they came out as fake. Completely ruined the immersion and it made the rest of the show unwatchable.
>>17724239
Do you have the link?
I believe ancient aliens, greys, gods, angels... are actually evolved versions of us traveling in time in order to save us so we can develop faster. In exchange they also obtain technological advance, credit in the future time-travel aware society and get closer to godlikeness. God doesn't exist... yet. But it does since time travel. Oh and reptiles tryna sabotage the process for drama.
Fuckin' top that theory with yours /x/

Stop trying to fish for philosophies that you can't grasp with your own mind.
>>17724175
We are the aliens characters in a game they play.
Today I travelled the spirit world again and met up with lucifer. After a lengthy discussion I came back and opened another rift so some of the demons and angels could interact with you all for a while.
Anyone want me to bring in satans army to play and make reality more interesting?

Send them to me, loser.
I found links and I have hard time to find the plane on flight tracker, I like to know is this true or some media hoax with video editing.
All I know is that "airplane" from sea fly to Australia where a airplane is travelling faster then other airplanes and is seen on web-cam and flight tracker. Aircraft registration is ZKGDG

What if UFOs are really from the bottom of the ocean rather than space? When you look at the crafts a lot of them are circular as if similar to a submarine like machine developed to withstand high water pressure and Grays themselves have some kind of amphibian or fish like qualities to them, like their skin and large eyes for example.
>>17723785
We have barely explored the oceans.
I don't know if /x/ is the right place to ask this, but I'm gonna try.
I'm trying to figure out the name of a horror movie I remember seeing on TV in the late 80s/early 90s.
All I remember is a scene where a woman is doing something in a kitchen, maybe unpacking boxes, when she hears her mother call her name. She says "what?" or something and then the voice of her mother says her name again, but this time in the same room. Suddenly a black cloud entity drifts into the room and towards the daughter and mumbling/groaning can be heard.
That's all I've got. It scared the absolute shit out of me as a kid, and I've been wondering lately if it was even real. I used to suffer from sleep paralysis as a kid, and recently realized a supposed paranormal experience I had as a boy was sleep paralysis.
I know it's far-fetched, but could I have dreamed that after having fallen asleep playing or something?

Actually pretty useful, but you don't have to turn to it if you don't wanna.

Was it this?
The Haunted TV movie from 1991 (took me forever to find this myself seeing it as a kid and freaked me out, specifically the timeframe I saw, but I am sure there is another scene like that).
