I didn't count how many it took though. I was soft-resetting for a couple days straight, so maybe 500+

XY was them testing the waters, it was the first game to feature a fully 3d environment and Pokemon, of course it was going to be shaky. But know they have a better grip of where they want to go with the series.

I actually agree. This project has probably been in development for years, all of the models for old Pokemon has been completed, so they can focus on other things and have time to execute an excellent game. The ground work has already been laid out from XY and ORAS.
