I don't have a shiny charm, but I got myself a shiny Suicune just the other day doing the same thing you're doing OP, except I was resetting for IV's.

I didn't count how many it took though. I was soft-resetting for a couple days straight, so maybe 500+

I'm currently breeding for a shiny sneasel, 1200+ MM

Nice job man consider yourself lucky. If I counted the soft resets I've done for IVs on all mirage spot legendary pokemon I'm setting at about 3000 resets with charm and no shiny, I get lucky in horde and dexnav but fuck SR.

I caught it and looked at the stats. I actually lucked out, winning the Synchronize coin toss for a Bold nature, and also got max IV's in HP/Def/SpA, with 30IV in SpD.

The SpD being 1 away from flawless tickled my autism, but I still have one more Suicune to catch in Alpha Sapphire if I really want to go for 5IV's.

yea that seems to be the case. If you install a CFW on your 3ds reddit.com/r/3dshacks (has the guides step by step, easy to follow) you could just get a cia (from that iso site) of alpha sapphire and play that to get the shiny Zekrom and any other pokemon you want to catch from there.
