Welcome to /vp/'s Monotype Tournament thread!
Here we hold a Monotype tournament where you can compete for fun with Pokemon of your favourite type!
This tournament will be ran on OR/AS and will start on the 27th of March.
Need to practice, team-build, or get some breeding leftovers to help you prepare for the tournament? Post away! There's plenty of people around to help!

Registration forms are found in the ruleset pastebin (above) and must be filled out before the 27th of March. (One week earlier than originally planned)
Currently under discussion are changes to the ruleset, mostly pertaining to restricting more Pokemon including but not limited to: Mega Sableye, Mega Lopunny, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Metagross. Feel free to add any of your own suggestions for ruleset adjustments.

Damn it I was so close in making the new thread.
Oh well, I'm on to breeding my last mon right now, even if I won't get much testing done due to leveling and getting movesets on there I won't mind much.
What game do you think would be better for leveling straight to 50 in the quickest time for 6 mons, X&Y or ORAS?

So my plan was to grab a used Alpha Sapphire from Gamestop, get the Celibi and Regi trio, deposit them all in the Pokemon bank, then give the game back to Gamestop and get my money back.
Then, when Sun comes out, I'll get that and transfer my mons onto it.
I've put the mons in the bank, but I've noticed I can't access the bank at all without alpha sapphire in the 3DS.
Is this going to be a problem? Will I be able to access my mons when Sun comes out? Or do I need to hold on to sapphire?

You just need to make sure that your account doesn't run out before Sun and Moon are out, which shouldn't be a problem if you did this recently. I don't know how Sun and Moon will work with bank but I'd assume you'd just be able to get the Celebi and Regis straight from it onto S/M.
