Ash needed to get one.
>>33228739
the rock type
Why is it so perfect, /vp/?
>>33228731
It's ok but we don't know its stats yet and pure rock can't be a great typing, too early to say it's perfect.
>>33228731
It's shit
>>33228741
It's still a Pokemon from Alola. Chances are it's either going to be really good (OU) or really bad (low RU or worse). But I think it makes sense for it to be strong.
>/vp/ complains over a completely OK form, which is LITERALLY a fusion of both, it's supposed to look like a CTRL C CTRL V copy.
>/vp/ complains about no news/hype
>/vp/ will still buy USUM
>USUM will become a better B2W2, aka the Game with most content.
>You will like it
>>33228722
Thank you it's nice to say there are still people who can use their brain here, Expect a lot of children to post against you with the same arguments below thoug.
>>33228722
You have to go back
>Game takes place in a new region based in Italy.
>Plot is about a retired Pokemon champion from an undisclosed region who quit after getting bored with their job and after having their Pokemon stolen by thieves. Now works as an undercover interpol agent.
>There have been rumors about the Pokemon Arena, a tower (based on the Colosseum in Rome but much bigger) designed for Pokemon battling, being run by criminals. The hero's mission is to infiltrate the tower disguised as a trainer and investigate, while becoming stronger.
>The region is pretty big and you are free to visit locations whenever you want. The real meat of the game and where progression lies however is not in Gyms or trials, but in that Arena. Progression lies in visiting the Tower whenever you think you're prepared, defeat the floor's trainers, defeat the floor leader, and move on.
>The arena functions similarly to the Battle Frontier, or to the Heaven's Arena from Hunter x Hunter. There is a total of about 14 floors, with each floor being dominated by the strongest trainer of that floor, called the floor master. When you defeat the master, you become the new master and get to ascend to a higher floor. As you can expect, each floor rises in difficulty.
>Each floor master's team is themed after an Egg group instead of a type. Expect surprises.
>Format is different to the BF. You don't have a 3 Pokemon limit, making battles less RNG-oriented.
>The AI has the battle strategies of a competitve player. Expect the enemy Pokemon to have items, good EV/IVs, have coverage and stat moves, and to switch out.
>EV/IVs are much easier to handle now.
>All Pokemon from Gens 1-3 are available, including their Gen 4 evolutions, with the exception of Mewtwo, event-exclusives, mascot legendaries (except for Suicune), and literally useless mons (like Dunsparce). Probably gonna include Lucario and Garchomp line, idk.
>Combat is just like in Gen 3, except now with the Gen 4 physical/special split, including the fairy type, and new attacks from gens 4-7 included.
>No Mega evolutions or Z-moves, probably.
>Probably no Alola forms except maybe for Marowak
>Trade evolutions can happen anyway. If a simple trade is required, just level up your Pokemon while holding a certain item to evolve. If a trade while holding an item is required, just level up your Pokemon while holding the required item (ex: Level up Scyther while holding Metal Cloak to get Scizor)
>Day/Night system included. Here however, instead of having an in-game clock, instead, time passes based on the steps you take. Every ~600 steps are in-game hours.
>The length of battles in-game time-wise are based on how many Pokemon are used. If it is a 6 vs 6 battle, the battle will have taken one in-game hour.
>Actual plot and character development
>Starter Pokemon will probably be either Aron or Elekid.
Probably gonna include more stuff in the future. For now, what are your thoughts?
>>33228703
>Plot is about a retired Pokemon champion from an undisclosed region who quit after getting bored with their job and after having their Pokemon stolen by thieves. Now works as an undercover interpol agent.
stopped reading there
>Region revolves around 1 place; 1 arena instead of multiple like in Colosseum/Gale of Darkness
>Ditching weak Pokemons instead of fixing them
>One starter
>Story is a focal point
fuck outta here
Why is Gen 2 the best competitive meta?
because you have to actually out play the other guy because everyone basically has the same team so its more focused on the player decisions.
>>33228724
>overcentralizing this much
>good
I'd rather play battle spot singles
>>33228614
>Leftovers, Rest and Hidden Power in everything
With that said, I had only one match and it was clutch as fuck. Based Hitmontop critted a Vaporeon with all the defense boosts. So I guess it's fun.
Why are so many people on this fucking board incapable of understanding that some posts are JOKES and not 100% SERIOUS? Is it because they're underage or massively autistic?
OP is a faggot
>>33228595
>because they're underage or massively autistic?
Actually both, but that's /vp/ for you
This board was always like this, and now, when the board is in the state of meltdown caused by new Lycanroc it only got worse.
Mareanie thread. Toxapex is welcome as well.
>named after a giraffe
>doesn't have the one thing that giraffes are known for
It's just a weird coloured horse.
you're right
Donphan is a 1m elephant.
Good Job, GameFreak
>>33228193
It's probably based on an Okapi, a close relative of giraffes.
WHERE'S THE LEAK?!
>>33228134snape kills dumbledore
>>33228134
probably on the 12th
Now that the dust has settled, which one was worse?
N or Lillie?
Lille. You could at least battle N and he didn't take the title of MC away from the player.

>waaa the game doesn't give me attention

Should pokemin get alternate sizes? HP and speed could change depending on size. Their could be 3-5 sizes. All pokemon from pokebank would be normal sized. Pokemon hatched or caught can be caught have a random different size.
>>33227938
>taking away gourgeist's gimmick
Never, I love my fatass pumpkin and its unique size feature
I would be okay if some pokemon came in a regular and giant size tho. Regular sized mons are the ones you can find anywhere, but giant sized are found only in specific areas under certain conditions (defeating X trainers, bringing an item with you, time of the day, etc.) and behave like wild minibosses. They could be like totems that you could catch, but dunno how it would go from there. Maybe make it so that they have 50 extra points in HP than regular sizes, or moves only they can get. Imagine going into a swamp with a mudkip in your party when there's overworld rain to find a giant swampert that has 150 HP and knows the moves recover and superpower. Or going into a cave holding a dragon scale to find a giant druddigon with 127 HP, stone edge and knock off.
Would probably fuck up the meta since everyone would use the giant size, but game-wise I think it'd be cool for the exploration aspect.
>>33227975
>Not adding a feature because of 1 pokemon
Mabye gorguiest was just a test. But if it wasn't it wouldn't really matter because it has 4 and every other pokemon has only 3
>>33227983
Didn't you say between 3-5?
Anyways yes, sometimes it is worth not adding a feature because of 1 pokemon. Otherwise every pokemon would change its looks between seasons because it is unfair to only keep this to sawsbuck and real life deer aren't the only ones that adapt to the environment changing. Sometimes some things are better as just one species' gimmick.
Some friends and I are planning on making our own fangame. Some old mons and some new ones we come up with ourselves. It'll just be for us and a small group of friends to play and enjoy. Anyway, I was thinking of ideas for some new Pokémon, but was wondering what animals or plants or other things that haven't been made into Pokémon that you all think should have one? I'm not asking for Pokémon ideas, just things that I could base Pokémon off of.
>>33227883
I actually came up with a chupacabra, but good suggestion.
>>33227865
Steel/Ghost or Rock/Ghost gargoyle
Werewolf cub and savage werewolf wearing a red hood like red riding hood Dark/Fairy
Ice/Electric solar panel pokemon. It's supposed to look like a snowflake but with solar panel looking ice crystals
Bug/Ghost pokemon based on wooly aphids
Bug/Ground wimpod and golisopod counterparts based off of beach hoppers and mole crickets
Electric/Ghost Mertensia ovum pokemon
Ghost/Water or Ghost/Bug skeleton shrimp
>Animals you want to see turned into pokemon
Awkward, I literally just made a thread like this. Whoops. My bad anon.

Looks like a meganium, Alolan meganium cOnfIrmED?
>>33227786

>Mega Gen 3 starters

>>33227795
Arn't alolan versions better if they get good stat boosts? You can still hold an item and mega's cant. It's allways up to GF if they want a pokemon to be complete shit or meta
>>33227786
Personally, I'd be greatly disappointed if they made Gen 2 Alolans forms. Yeah, yeah, "underrepresented" and all that shit. I honestly never cared about them, as they are the single most boring group of starters. Instead of wasting time trying to fix shit, I'd rather GF polished the gold. The latter is far more attractive.

Because why not
>>33227772
Some of you have way too many "favorites". When you move past a certain number, the word favorite begins to lose its meaning to me.
>>33227810
There are 802 monsters, anon
