No fully evolved starter, half of his pokemon went underused with barely any screentime like Palpitoad, and Krookodile was the only real powerhouse he had. Uzefant is the most boring bird pokemon Ash ever had, etc.
Scraggy was fun but as a baby pokemon it never evolved and they wasted its potential.
WTF were they thinking?

The only pokemon game I've played is pokemon yellow when it came out, now after years I feel old and I want to play pokemon again and feel the true enjoyment I felt in the good old days, which version of pokemon do you suggest me to play? Which one is the best?

Play Heartgold or Soulsilver. They let you go back to Kanto and you would be more familiar with the style of the games, they have following Pokemon like with Pikachu and they have sprites unlike the newer games which are not so good.

So a "friend" of mine has access to some Pokemon USUM information.
But all they were willing to share was a blurred out image of the new Lycanroc form. They think that will be harder to trace back.
The Lycanroc Dusk form was revealed recently due to it appearing in the anime. But this form will be saved for a later reveal. Sort of like the Mewtwo and Charizard megas. Introducing one form much earlier.
It may not even be revealed until the games release.
I know it looks very similar to the Midnight form. But it's just like the Dusk form apparently. It 90% resembles one form with some features from the other.
