They are hard to get into and catching up on the lore of most of the thing is awful.

I've got 400 hours on Skyrim, Played through GTA 4, Played through Bioshock.
Never tried Sonic and Cave Story.
What's that good about sonic? I've tried a few Sonic games and none of them really kept me engaged.

Unreal Tournament is dead, QC is not.

UT Feels and plays like modder tier prealpha, there is no consistency with anything it tries to do, development hasnt made any big steps in over a year and the playerbase hardly is ever over 70 players, only very few people keeps supporting the game because they are loyal fans but for epic the game seems to be nearly forgotten.

Quake champions played it much smarter by not releasing the game until it had completed maps, weapons, mechanics and characters completed, it has an actual dedicated team of developers behind it and actual publishing and advertising, playerbase has remained very active on the testings and unlike UT dev team, Qc devs actually listen to feedback from players. QC also is a much better game for beginners since there is much more to look on it than just another arena shooter so it has appeal for people beyond the veteran of the genre.

Qc has an actual chance to succeed, UT had its chance but Epic wasted it.

Sure you get better directional movement with that, but you're unable to have as many keys available and have to take your hand off movement to do stuff.

Well the joycon is basically the smallest possible boiling down of the thumbstick + 4 buttons 'gimmick' in one hand so I guess the next question is weather a tumbstick can be consider flat inferior to the range of motion of the wrist+forearm that mouse provdies.
And I would argue it is inferior.

Or we could ask whether a thumbstick is inferior to WASD.

Isn't it technically 10 buttons? I'm not sure if there's an easy way to press SL and SR while being held vertically and having access to the other buttons though.
