>plebs shit on it because it doesn't handhold them and spoonfeed them a fancy plot
>hardcores shit on it because it doesn't have numbers you can level up
seriously if the game was so damn shit, why isn't there a [Skyrim Reborn] mod that overhauls the game to the hardcore's liking? adding all the stats and skills and attributes, and making the world react to you actions, and allowing multiple solutions to each quest, and removing map marker and quest instructions and whatnot.
>why isn't there a mod to make the game good
because you can just play morrowind instead
>>387338287
>How come people didn't feels like coding and producing art for an entirely new set of mechanics so that they could play this specific game
Because they can just play a better game.

>trying this hard
So I recently bought agaming laptopand im looking to play new games, the last thing I had and still have was a ps3, so i've been missing out on the more modern titles. This game looks fun to me, and i want to try it out, but the general mood to this game in /v/ is pure hatred. Why is this game so hated? What are the draw backs of it? Im aware of the whole streamer fiascos, which are complete bullshit, but asides from that, it looksfun. I honestly just want to know your opinions and why they're that way.
Other games i want to play are:
DaS 2 & 3
R6: siege
Nier automata
Bayonetta (never got around playing it)
Hollow knight
And i want to try out cemu and dolphin.
Are there any essentials that you'd recomend?

>Why is this game so hated?
It's debateable, could be down to popularity, only on pc, early access, difficult to run or just downright contariasim.
It is extremely fun though and I recommend it.
>>387338046
It's early access, always be careful with those. But in all honesty I've had fun with it. It can get pretty exciting when you're one of the last players standing.
Just buy Titanfall 2 !!!!!
Whats the fastest way to lose a friend?
I don't know, I've never had one
"Hey, do you wanna play Dokapon Kingdom?"

Bitch and complain all day about it even after you stole it back with interest and won the game.

Not a single one of the "nostalgia throwback by old dev" crowdsourced games turned out well.
Sure it wasn't by an "old dev" but it was a nostalgia throwback that actually was really good

Shovel Knight and to a lesser extent Shantae are the only successful crowdsourced games regardless of whether they're throwbacks or not

VERY good post
Wow, apparently, the Commandos games on Steam all got updates in 2016 and are now perfectly playable on modern systems in widescreen resolutions. Currently replaying Behind Enemy Lines and it's just as much fun as back in the days.
Why has this genre almost vanished? Why can't we get a new Commandos and what do you think of Shadow Tactics?
>>387337713
I just picked up Shadow Tactics yesterday and so far I'm loving it. This genre isn't for brainlets so it died.
It comes from a time when games required REAL strategy.

BOOSTFAGS WILL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO DO SHIT LIKE THIS
reality:

???
aside from this guy's shitty gameplay. there's a lot of cool stuff he pulled off that will never be allowed in boost games
>>387337419
>>387337687
Damn it's been a while since i've played the adventure games. I'm so used to the boost formula that I think this shit looks really good. If they could refine the controls and get some good level design going on, i think a new adventure-style game would be really good.
Boost to win was a mistake, the game kinda does play it self, i like controling the character myself.
Which is better for Hollow Knight?
PC controls or a standing gaming controller?Or a third option for the trolls out there:uninstalling.
>>387337238
when you load the game I think it says to play witha controller....
controller is the best way to play the game. playing mine with bluetooth dongle and ps4 controller. works fine
Always play Metroidvanias with controllers.
Controllers are superior but keyboards aren't bad either
