yes and no, it's better when you are shooting stuff as it's a pure 3rd person shooter but it's way worst when you driving around probably the worst car mechanics ever, the polar opposite of GTAIV and Mafia

the story is way more subdued than SR 3 & 4 but way wackier than SR2, it's basically a more juvenile r rated GI JOE that plays off events of Gat out of Hell and recast regulars in new roles.

Saints Row, even 3 and 4, are still derived from the typical crime open world game. Their stop and pop combat isn't as prevalent as the slower, more Borderlands/Destiny-esque AoM. So if you're expecting that same feeling, you're looking at the wrong game. This game doesn't bask in the same ideals for an open world itself, either.
