Manchester By Sea was sold out so went to see this instead. It was surprisingly great, actually.
Really intense throughout, shot in a really interesting way (big emphasis on having the focus on peoples' heads- the scene where Jackie washes the blood off worked really well imo), clothes were top /fa/.
Some points that prevented it from being a true kinograph:
>John Hurt was a horrifying miscast here. He's known for his normal accent being amazing, I can't imagine why the thought it'd be a good idea to have him phone in an Irish accent. Get Brendan Gleeson to do it ffs. If all his scenes were cut it would have improved the movie.
>Child actors only had one speaking scene but it was fucking awful. Would have been better to just have alluded to Jackie going in to tell them about JFK, but not actually showing it
>Couple of weird choices with the score. Theres one scene where a soaring string piece starts playing when the journalist is talking about what her legacy would be, it made the scene fall a bit flat. Silence actually would have made it more meaningful.
>The thing with the two kids being interred was poorly explained- I'm not massively familiar with JFK's personal life, so I wasn't aware he had two children die in infancy. From the movie, it seemed like both the kids in the movie died and were buried, but that Jackie didn't make a big deal of it, which was weird.
Overall, liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Go watch it if you're at a loose end.

You forgot to mention the music. One of the best soundtracks I have ever heard. It reminded me of The Master for some reason, later found out both soundtracks resembled Stravinsky in a way.

A bit disrepectful towards her husband desu

You're just retarded, anon.
Hi anon. Ticket for one? I'm afraid we've implemented a no singles policy. Don't you have any friends to bring?

God what a powerful scene. Anybody who hasnt seen this kino is really missing out. Italian directors are really at the forefront of cinema lately. The entire composition of the scene really contrasts the two brothers values and draws attention to the emotional barrier they experience. Obviously it also foreshadows the inevitable betrayal of Jason by Terry and the resentment that had built up inside Terry ever since Jason was adopted into there family. In a way it also draws parallels to the current racial tension in the United States. The black brother being adopted represents Black America being finally accepted by American culture and the white brother resenting him for it.
10/10 film
What film?

The Dark Knight Rises
Their names are Smee and Button Lee, get it right.
Who's going to be a murderer in Scream 5?
No one because they opted for a half decent tv show instead of another film. And wes craven is dead.
How do you guys like the show? Season 2 was a little slow and the killer reveal was pretty bad, but Noah and Brooke save it for me.

Lets face it. Yanks haven't even come close to making something as good as this

Agreed, British detectives such as Frost, Midsomer Murders, Agatha Christie's Poirot and Dalziel & Pascoe beat any American detective series, they don't have the same appeal. But the Mentalist does come pretty close I have to admit, the only American detective series worth competing with the British ones.
Colombo is kino though

How long does he have left?
Apparently popcorn is soon going to be banned because it's production has been shown to be damaging to the environment. Is this the final nail in cinema's coffin?
Just the beginning
I've heard that people pissing and shitting in the theatre showers is having a bad effect on the environment, if they close the showers nobody will go any more
Who would want to sit in a room of smelly unwashed people?

Hmm i guess these would be more fun to throw at the guys that lose in the theater fighting pits.
