Ricklantis Mixup was the only good episode of the season.
I think it hit a sophomore slump that really divides it from the first two seasons, which had some slump of episodes as well.
I feel the same way about it. Just seems a tad off and not as enjoyable. I still thought despite the memes Pickle Rick, in particular Jaguar, was funny.

r-rated means nothing as of 2017, films like fury road and deadpool are basically pg-13 but asked for R ratings for street cred
johannsson can't do anything other than noise and the score will have nowhere near the impact of the vangelis original(which carried the whole movie)

A Fish Called Selma is easily my favorite Simpsons episode. Funnily enough it was probably the first one that had the family in a supporting role to the main plot. The satire of Hollywood, Jeff Goldblum as the agent, and of course Hartman's perfomance are the standout parts, but the whole Stop The Planet Of The Apes bit is just fucking inspired and on another level.
